TrailBlazer SS

128576.jpg

Silverado SS

6.0L LS2 Small Block V8

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TrailBlazer SS redefines the “sport” in Sport Utility Vehicle with a Corvette-based 6.0L LS2 small block V8. It generates 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, taking TrailBlazer from zero to 60 in under six seconds.

Both are AWD.

As most of ya'll know I'm from Texas and I'm kinda partial to these two choices. They fall within the price rage but shipping on converting from LHD to RHD is about another 25K.

Four wheel drives are for towing, off roading, enlarging egos and running over children in school carparks, and since I have no need for any of these functions I would feel I would just be wasting such a machine. :P

LOL

well I dont see too many GTR's towing a 20 foot boat...even if it is AWD...LOL

Honestly these arent 4WD in the sense of off road more like the AWD drive type cars.

The red S3 R33 GTR VSpec for sale here.

S8 RX7

EVO 6 or 7 if I could stretch it.

Latest model possible TT Supra

Typhoon if I could stretch it (again).

Latest model possible Monaro.

E36 M3.

Or a heap of different older car options and a daily: Mustangs, RX3, R100, RX2 Coupe, Monaro, most likely Cosmo 110... Dodge Challenger... a heap of old Chryslers etc etc etc. I have no shortage of ideas which is probably why I have had so many different cars since having my licence 5 years ago.

So many nice cars to pick from. I'm still trying to decided what I want.

looking for a R33 GTS4 4door anyone seen one of those?

don't think there were any 4door r33 gts4's made.....? but i've got a pretty clean 2door gts4 forsale if your interested? :D:no:

hmm 35grand i'd either get a wrx sti, an evo3 and spend the rest on it, r33 GTR, FD rx7 or a VY/VZ SS ute lowered on its guts with 20" rims ;)

Oh yeah what color and is it auto?

Evo VII or VIII for sure. Only a few years old too..

My prediction is that Evos will become the new Skylines (as in their popularity)

The 9 is already popular due to it being a fullblown import by Mitsubishi Australia and I see more 6s and 7s around due to the recent import laws allowing them in.

6s and 7s are now affordable ($25-$35k) for many young people just starting off their careers. Add to this they are fairly new, highly moddable, faster than any Skyline GTS-T/GT-T and have decent looks.

Within a few years the used 9s will come on the market, saturating the used/imported Evo market even further. Add to this, Mitsubishi seeing the popularity of the 9, will also import the 10.

    • Welcome. Dont let anyone dissuade you from your dreams. If you want a gtr, keep sabing and you will eventually get one. I feel like if I had have bought stocks, those companies would have gone bust and I would have lost my money.  There's a gamble in everything we buy. I've had good times and bad. But... I've also met my absolute best friend through this network and can't imagine life without them(more like a brother). Keep in mind, some specific mods will change as technology gets better. If you feel like general chat, there's always the wasteland.....
    • Those are some very cutesy barriers! Is that common?
    • Saw this abandoned Honda Fit in a carpark that was getting repaved... they just 'cut around it' and continued with the job! There's a number of reasons why the car could have been abandoned, but as for the construction company, legally they don't have permission to move the car from the owner (who has moved on and can't be contacted) so all they can do it just leave it there with enough space around it so it won't get damaged.
    • You’ll want to have the block drilled and tapped to suit 1/2in head studs and the head for the same. How much power do you intend to make?
    • Sorry for resurrecting an oldish thread Not much has happened in the past year since the last update. The car did another 1000 miles or so and failed the MOT for the first time in October (failed on tyres which had been advised for a couple of years) In October the car got put up for sale and was removed in November due to no interest, being so close to christmas it was to be expected. The roads were dry in February so I decided to tax it early and get the new tyres fitted.   Fast forward to April, I got someone in to give the car a good clean after sitting for the winter.                                 The car got re-advertised and today (Saturday 3rd May) the car sold. The new owner is planning a GTR conversion at some point and a respray in the same pearl white. It's bitter sweet, it's a shame to have the car sit there for half the year and then only do 1000 miles. The kids are growing too quick and space in the back is getting limited. It's been a great 6.5 years of ownership
