oh ok mine's just the standard shelf so its really tight fit!

so is it cool that i'll get there at about 1:30?

the guy that was going to fill in for me for tennis is busy so i have to play. But if its raining, which it is meant to, i'll get there at 8:30

is the bbq still going ahead? do you want me to bring meat or anything, or is is byo? what happens about a bbq if its raining?

so howd it go?

Sweet!

Thanks once again DJ for organising this of us all. Compared to the quotes I was getting, this came out at almost a third of what I would've had to pay in Geelong for the exact same tint.

The guys there were great and my bro in law even arranged to come back another day and get his sedan tinted for $195 (normally $495)! I'm impressed with the job but its not as dark as i'd hoped, but i guess its best to stay legal because of insurance.

Thanks to DJ for organising it :P

hows the front of ur car greg....hehe?? got a bandaid on it?j/k

lol that dumb bitch! i was so ****ing pissed at her. she could have just waited for me to back my car out a bit more but no, she just had to run into my car in her crappy wheelchair. she should take some lessons on how to drive the thing.

when my sister (sarah) ran up to her to get her details, sarah said "do you realise you just hit that car?" the disabled bitch is like "errr what did i do" (in a retard voice). what a ****ing idiot.

afterwards i felt bad to have yelled at her because she was disabled, but thats still no excuse for her to hit my car!

apart from that it was a good day :P the scratch polished out so its all good. i doubt she would have had the money to pay me for it anyway

Bugger! I haven't logged into SA for a while and totally missed this!

I have crappy tint on the rear window and the rear quarters, but I heard that if it's factory they can't remove it. Is this true?

I wouldn't mind replacing all of it. I can't see out the rear window at night which is really annoying (and dangerous).

That would not be factory. I don't think R33 came out with a factory tint. The old tint should peel off easily, the guys at the tint-a-car will be able to do it, b4 retinting it for you.

I hope so, thanks! Do you think there will be another tint-your-car day? I'd definately be up for it.

Try and organise another one. Ask DJ for the phone number to that tint-a-car place, as he may give you the same deal with less cars.

You can only try.

    • Yea my thought was tighter engine when hot is more load a poor ground connection can't take. On that note, I had time to check my driveshaft verical alignment tonight, it's +2 and -2 at either end, so thats perfect and how I had set it up last year. What would be the easiest way to check horizontal alignment between my diff and transmission? I can think of a few ways but they're all complicated and I feel like I'm overthinking it. I'm hoping it's that as I can't see any other reason why I have developed driveline vibration since I put the motor back in.
    • Thank god. I thought I was the only one, nobody seems to mention this (cause nobody really goes this far in Sedan land). The car's track is 10mm wider at the rear, which explains why the rears sit a little further out for the same size wheels. There's not really many options in widebody land for sedans anyway - People will just use whatever came out of the box and then buy wheels/spacers to suit. To get it perfect you'll likely need custom wheels with custom offsets if you really want to get it perfect which is what I plan to do, but I also plan to utilize more of the inboard space for tyres at the rear... which is also something nobody ever seems to do.... OR my maths have failed me after 20,000 attempts and I'm about to make huge mistakes.
    • What colour is that?  A mate of mine went red/black on his SLR5000 tribute recently also.  And yes, also glad to see this still progressing albeit slowly.
    • found a company that makes a flat gauge face 3-d printed mounting base kit to eliminate the dished style gauges. if anyone else is looking to do the same https://www.dashfreaks.de/shop/flat-dials-holder-nissan-skyline-r34-gt-gtt/
    • I installed my link ecu shortly after. But car ran fine with stock ecu and r35 coils, just had the traction control and slip lights on.
