Hi ppls,

Has any one came across some one who brings the Kyosho Mini-Z R/C cars in to AUS?

Awesome little things, I wouldn't mind getting one for my umm 21month old boy. lol

Would any one have better pics of the R32 GTR, from what I can see the R32's shell looks a little crappy. The R34 looks good but.

I used to be into these, where I was younger, I had a RWD one with FETs extra battery and faster motor, thing used to drift.

generally hobby stores are abit expensive,

I used to order all my stuff from hk or us. was cheaper, cant remember where from tho

edit, ausmicro sell ready sets

Yeah, the hobby shops in aust are very expensive, considering for diffs transmissions etc, you can have the price and have it at your front door (shipping included) but coming from a hobby shop is hella spensive...

But when people are just getting into it, alot of the time it's better to buy local.

lol I have this tiny tomy rc car, about the size of a 50 cent coin and its got an r34 shell, batteries last abou 10 mins then you recharge it off the remote. pretty sweet but i havent used it for about 3 years cause the cars battery stopped chargng properly

They come up occasionally on ebay, but otherwise HPI make an RS4 micro, with an R34 shell. They're about the same size.

Available locally, plenty of hop-ups...etc etc.

But if you go down the road of a 1:10th RC drifter, there's plenty more options and cheaper parts. Essentially you're going to need the same radio gear, batteries, charger etc.

Thse guys stock them locally...

They have a shop in Rhodes and the city.

I had one for a while. There pretty cool. Especially when you start modifying them

I have a collection of the Tomy Bit-G (aka Bit-char) cars...

The best is my R34 skyline (no honestly) - I got the upgraded motor and gears for it...

I think toyseast sells them from hongkong - but check Big-W!

I'm sure I've seen the Kyosho ones there!

    • I've got a 2011 J50 that I imported six years ago. The unmodified factory AV system date and time has always been correct ( Japanese timezone of course ) up until last month. About two weeks ago, at engine start, the system wished me a happy new year ( in Japanese of course ). I can't think of anything that would make the system think that the date had changed, unless the GPS component has failed/reset somehow ? I checked the GPS reception in the system settings, and it can still see the satellites. Has any other J50 owner had this happen ?  It's no biggie, just annoying that it tells me the wrong date anytime I start the engine. 😅
    • Love following your adventures on IG, hopefully if you're still around in Japan when we visit again wouldn't mind going for a few beers with you (that's if you're keen on hearing how I hate Nissans).
    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
