I went to Hobart for 6 weeks, for work. Suffered major skyline deprevation, especially with all those mountains!!!! :P

Would like to go back for a couple of days with my car and have some serious fun. Good thing about it, is that 10mins outside the city and you are heading up the twisting roads of the mountain.

i was away from mine for a month.. didnt miss it.. ****ing petrol!! but damn it felt good to get back in it. Then again recently same thing, i didnt drive it for a week cos I made the g/f taxi me around, but it always feels good when I get back in. Im in QLD now and havent driven her for 1 week.. only 3 more weeks to go.. it ok tho, i have been driving boxheads new r32 gtst up here, so im still getting my skyline fix.

yo!, im about to head up to whistler now, for the night, im coming back early because i hate the job i have and it isnt really covering my expenses, i also want to see japan on the way home. ive seen the entire west coast down to san diego, ive checked out all of vancouver, in a week or so im going on a 6 day rocky mountain tour, i think thats enough.

i cant say that i miss driving my car cause im picking it up for the first time tomorrow morning. very excited cause it has been about 2 months since i bought the car (trouble with the bank). the only problem is that i have to take it straight to compiance so wont see it for another few days.

also, it couldnt be any worse timing cause if it wasnt for easter i could have picked it up on thursday and had it complied by tomorrow. first time in my life that i havent wanted a long weekend.

i have missed driving "A" car. since i started this stupid rb25 sil conversion. 11 months later and still ages away. feel like blowing the piece of shit up.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRat kick the tyre, kick the tyre, kick the tyre, kick the tyre, kick the tyre, kick the tyre.

hehe.

I have been away for about 5 months now. I have not driven my car for so long, and the worst part is this: my car was still waiting for the camshaft when I left and now it is all ready waiting for me in the garage with the new camshaft on!

I enjoy my driving so much, but now I am stuck for another month or two in a city where traffic jam is literally around-the-clock! And the only performance car availablto me is a 200-HP E36 Bimmer in auto! Auch!

dunno but im going tomorrow

i think its almost done, as everything is in from engine to gearbox to diff, but i was missing the afm plug and they were gonna wire directly but thought against it as its a sensitive bitch so finally found the plug. oil should be going in soon to see if the engine works :) (btw the plug wasnt the reason why it has taken long, reason is unknown but doesnt worry me as long as the work is done properly which im sure it will be :))

just got back after a week, of being driven by a friend on a trip in a non turbo car. Just got back today, done a lap to get the car warmed up, no boosting (was so temped) filled her up had about 5L left. filled her up warmed her up and is getting some rest for some good ol' boosting tomorrow. I just cant wait...

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
