Hi all

I have an R33 Skyline, Series 1. At present it is a non-turbo but I have (finally, after like 8 weeks) received my half-cut today (Series 2) so will shortly be undertaking a conversion to a turbo. As much as I would like to do a few more mods to the car, I have not a great deal of cash flow so I am just happy with what I am going to have... I will be pulling out the old engine and putting in the new one, so this means I will shortly have the following for sale, preferbly as a set:

An RB25 non-turbo GTS engine - good condition, has done just over 90,000km's. Also the ECU and wiring loom. Includes things like the alternator, hoses, clutch etc etc... Selling for $1200

A GTS-t gearbox, manual, for the turbo R33. The bloke that owned it before me put it in there because he was going to put a turbo engine in the car but didn't get around to it. It is in reasonable condition... Selling for $1000 - SOLD!

Will sell above items for a set at $2000...

Plus all the other little goodies that get moved around such as:

Fan shroud $50

Instrument cluster (non-turbo), reads around 90000kms $80 SOLD for $85 incl postage

Radiator Hoses $15 each

Support brace (assuming its called that - metal brace behind dash that goes across width of car) $20

Climate control unit $100

Steering Column $100

Door hinges $5 each

Bonnet hinges $5 each

ABS Unit $100

Other kick panels etc $30 each

Air snorkel $20 - SOLD!

Heater hoses and stuff like that $5 each

Please note that engine hoses are being sold with the engine.

Also, many other little bits you might find in a half-cut (centre console forward). If you are after anything I haven't listed or want a picture of anything let me know so I can take some photos and send them to your e-mail or something...

So if you are looking for anything of the sort please let me know you are interested. This stuff should be available by start of December. Make an offer and I'll see what we can come up with. Genuine interest only please... I have enough to manage at the moment already. All prices do not include post or freight, that is extra, and please don't make me organise freight - I hate it!

Thanks guys!

Francesca

P.S. Sorry about the links guys - tried to upload the photos but got some message that they were updating the system and I couldn't load them on at the present time - so this will have to do for the meantime.

Can I get pics of the Steering Wheel?

[email protected]

Also, how much do you want for the Engine Wiring Loom and Crossmember?

Just got the half cut - they told me the steering wheel would be ok but it's just not worth it, tears and stuff in it so that's gonna end up in the trash... sorry about that.

In all honesty I would like to sell either the engine and box, loom and ECU as a set or just as engine/ECU/loom as a set and the gearbox seperate, but if you check back with me in a few weeks if I haven't sold it...

Just finished with the half cut yesterday so will be changing everything over this weekend... so everything is available as of next week!

Still waiting on a buyer for the engine and box...

Im interested on just the front brake caliper & rotor.. will u separate? if so how much. cheers

Haven't pulled them out as of yet... need to sell this engine so with that money I can get new brakes of some lad in Wollongong. But as soon as I get that I will have them pulled out, so it depends on how the sale goes. PM me with an offer on what you would like to make arrangements with...

is the motor veriable valve timing

how much for the engine/ECU/loom

need is asap if at the right price

please call if interested 0402919977

Pretty sure it isn't variable valve timing... , it's a stock non-turbo RB25 so I'll leave that one up to you!

Looking at what you can get them for through other places I think that $1200 is ok. Are you close enough for pickup because freight price is rediculous...

Ok... just completed the conversion yesterday - and may I say that I love this car now!

Engine/Box/ECU/Loom and all other parts ready to go ASAP except for the brakes.

Someone PM me please...

Had lots of interest in the box... need to sell engine ASAP as I need to get the brakes...

Need the new brakes as I have another user waiting for me to buy some new rims and another one for new 5 stud hubs etc and also people want the brakes off my car now so has to go ASAP...

Can call 0421450044 if you need too but would prefer PM or e-mail... Make an offer with the prices on parts!

:sorcerer:

Ok, will be away from the computer alot this week, going up and down the coast for work.

If anyone is interested in this stuff then please give me a call on the forementioned mobile number. Please call anytime after 8am. I am at work anyway!

Need to get rid of the engine, taking up space in the garage. Good for those that can't have a turbo like L and P platers... Goes really well. Comes with clutch, ECU and Wiring Loom etc! Good deal!

Hey there,

I was wondering if you have this hose circled in red? If so, I'll take that as well.

By the way, the snorkle looks like the one in the below photo right? :D

    • The time is always correct. Only the date is wrong. It currently thinks it is January 19. Tomorrow it will say it is January 20. The date and time are ( should be ! ) retrieved from the GPS navigation system.
    • Buy yourself a set of easy outs. See if they will get a good bite in and unthread it.   Very very lucky the whole sender didn't let go while on the track and cost you a motor!
    • Well GTSBoy, prepare yourself further. I did a track day with 1/2 a day prep on Friday, inpromptu. The good news is that I got home, and didn't drive the car into a wall. Everything seemed mostly okay. The car was even a little faster than it was last time. I also got to get some good datalog data too. I also noticed a tiny bit of knock which was (luckily?) recorded. All I know is the knock sensors got recalibrated.... and are notorious for false knock. So I don't know if they are too sensitive, not sensitive enough... or some other third option. But I reduced timing anyway. It wasn't every pull through the session either. Think along the lines of -1 degree of timing for say, three instances while at the top of 4th in a 20 minute all-hot-lap session. Unfortunately at the end of session 2... I noticed a little oil. I borrowed some jack stands and a jack and took a look under there, but as is often the case, messing around with it kinda half cleaned it up, it was not conclusive where it was coming from. I decided to give it another go and see how it was. The amount of oil was maybe one/two small drops. I did another 20 minute session and car went well, and I was just starting to get into it and not be terrified of driving on track. I pulled over and checked in the pits and saw this: This is where I called it, packed up and went home as I live ~20 min from the track with a VERY VERY CLOSE EYE on Oil Pressure on the way home. The volume wasn't much but you never know. I checked it today when I had my own space/tools/time to find out what was going on, wanted to clean it up, run the car and see if any of the fittings from around the oil filter were causing it. I have like.. 5 fittings there, so I suspected one was (hopefully?) the culprit. It became immediately apparent as soon as I looked around more closely. 795d266d-a034-4b8c-89c9-d83860f5d00a.mp4       This is the R34 GTT oil sender connected via an adapter to an oil cooler block I have installed which runs AN lines to my cooler (and back). There's also an oil temp sensor on top.  Just after that video, I attempted to unthread the sensor to see if it's loose/worn and it disintegrated in my hand. So yes. I am glad I noticed that oil because it would appear that complete and utter catastrophic engine failure was about 1 second of engine runtime away. I did try to drill the fitting out, and only succeeded in drilling the middle hole much larger and now there's a... smooth hole in there with what looks like a damn sleeve still incredibly tight in there. Not really sure how to proceed from here. My options: 1) Find someone who can remove the stuck fitting, and use a steel adapter so it won't fatigue? (Female BSPT for the R34 sender to 1/8NPT male - HARD to find). IF it isn't possible to remove - Buy a new block ($320) and have someone tap a new 1/8NPT in the top of it ($????) and hope the steel adapter works better. 2) Buy a new block and give up on the OEM pressure sender for the dash entirely, and use the supplied 1/8 NPT for the oil temp sender. Having the oil pressure read 0 in the dash with the warning lamp will give me a lot of anxiety driving around. I do have the actual GM sensor/sender working, but it needs OBD2 as a gauge. If I'm datalogging I don't actually have a readout of what the gauge is currently displaying. 3) Other? Find a new location for the OEM sender? Though I don't know of anywhere that will work. I also don't know if a steel adapter is actually functionally smart here. It's clearly leveraged itself through vibration of the motor and snapped in half. This doesn't seem like a setup a smart person would replicate given the weight of the OEM sender. Still pretty happy being lucky for once and seeing this at the absolute last moment before bye bye motor in a big way, even if an adapter is apparently 6 weeks+ delivery and I have no way to free the current stuck/potentially destroyed threads in the current oil block.
    • Literally looks like direct port nitrous haha
