Man its good that you are doing that and Im sure a lot of people are thankfull for you organising an event. Should do a couple more so more people can enjoy the sport!!

Again Dezz, trying to score brownie points with the SAU crew has to speak in his mind about what he thinks the Pro drifters think. Come and hang out with Us Dezz. You really need to learn some people skills.

Thats why I suppose people like Luke Fink regularly do Skidpan days ey Dezz? But hey, Drift Australia winning driver would look down on skidpan days woudnt he.

I remember going to a SAU meeting Dezz where people were commenting on what a twat you were. You must have made a killer comeback.

Brownie points?

I'm just quoting what YOU called the event Chris took the time to organise

It's very easy to come over here and say well done, and that he should organise more, AFTER you bag it out on another forum...pretty pointless as well.

I could say plenty of things in reply to your last addition there, but I won't

Sitting out by the pool, nice and relaxed. You should all try it.

Couple of points...

1. We'd love to have more drift based events, but the problem is facilities. Calder costs a lot to hire, and is quite daunting for inexperienced drivers. Other venues with suitable track layout and surface are reluctant to open up to drift events as the cars ofen spend time 'off' the track and damage the grass/run off.

What REALLY needs to be done is for all you kids to tuck things back in your pants and look to work together to help develop a purpose built drift venue in Victoria. PIARC are looking at some redevelopments, and have mooted a drift faciltiy - but are unsure as to the ROI due to lack of interest from clubs.

Is it worth contacting them? Are these petty squabbles over which online forum you use going to really help?

2. The whole keyboard warrior thing is old. Remember to get your facts pretty concrete before you post lest you end up looking like a fool.

3. Handbags drives better than he rock-paper-scissors, but I still beat him at one event at Dutts! Team Hack FTW

3. The water is nice. This is how I should 'work' every day

James all these are valid points.

But it just annoys me when people make generalisation and give there opinion about the scene when they not even a part of it.

You dont see me or others going around talking about the SAU scene. No ones Perfect.

Then you get People Like Dezz who come on and shit talk and dont get there posts deleted and you get peoples Valid posts that have no bagging, no accusations, no smart arse talk deleted. Dezz just said I called it drift for retards! When Where? I have been driving for the last 6 years and been a part of many clubs and forums and I dont need a tyrekicker accusing me of something I didnt do.

As a Mature person this is why I Feel the need to post up. Slowly I have moved away from SAU due to this. There are a lot of good guys in the Club and I dont know why some of the crap thats written on here is allowed, it just tarnishes the clubs image.

If we were talking about clubbing baby seals, or exposing yourself to ppl walking home late at night. Then id say you best unfark yourself pretty quick before you end up in a small cold cell. Or beaten

Whatever legally gets your rocks off... just feel free to give me some money so i can abuse my car at drag events, drift days, track days, motorkhanas, hill climbs. Hell strap some booster jets to the old girl and i will take on those Red Bull Air Race hacks. I dont care its all the same.

I cant afford to do it all...so unfortunately dont. Its all the same...car geeks who get laughed at by girls play with cars instead. :( It just seems that the drift guys are the ones that suffer from ADD, the Drag guys scrape knuckles when walking and want to 'job ya' if you dont agree with them. The circuit guys are busy looking in their tinted windows to see if their hair looks ok after having had the helmet on and making sure they dont look fat in their Fagetti race suit....like i said car geeks....all of us. :P

Im not sure what cool people do, i think they wine and dine models on 52ft boats. Im a car geek so dont even have the slightest notion of what cool ppl do....they sure as shit dont waste all their income on farking bits of tin ... what are we talking about again

Actually, you all need to

LOL...ppl take stuff way too serious.

    • I mean it's a bit late to say "This won't have any tangible effect and it is not worth spending more than about three seconds on it, please just enjoy the car" But I said it anyway. Does the pod actually get any airflow in that position behind a bumper like that?
    • Hey guys - apologies for digging this up. Has this website been shutdown or is the outage temporary?
    • So, went shopping at Just Jap for things that might work for the intake  After some trial fitting there I ended up with a 3" x 45° silicone bend, a 3" x 300mm alloy straight, and a humped joiner, some minor trimming will be required to shorten some of the stuff, but nothing that is beyond my "ham fisted" skills The guy at Just Jap was most helpful as we had all sorts of joiners,  bends and stuff out trial fitting  Laying it out above the stuff in there it seems everything will fit nicely, and looking at it, it is probably the way I should have been looking at doing it from the beginning, probably..... In the end it is a front bar off job anyway to remove the original stuff behind the front bar that is taking up the required realestate needed, so maybe a Thursday or Friday job And because I'm a hopeless consumer, I grabbed some new steel wheel nuts, the current ones are a spline drive type with a "security" socket, that somehow someone keeps misplacing, the new ones are a basic black steel 17mm hex socket In other news: I just did my "final" tax return, I am now officially a old retired veteran pensioner, and I'm milking the system for all it's worth,  life is good
    • I hadn't thought about the variable power steering assist. Presumably, it will always be the same level of assist as you get in an S14. The R32/3/4 are either helliishly heavy (at low speeds) if the solenoid is not powered at all, or hellishly too light (at high speed) if it is powered all the time. I presume that it is PWM controlled on those cars. I hadn't thought about the S cars not having variable assist. ugh. What crappy plebby cars they must be!
    • Hmm yeah that is a good point. It looks like it'll just bolt in with no real issue besides maybe the bushings being different. My other concern was that 2 pin plug that I assume is used in some way to control the rack solenoid depending on the speed signal from the ecu. The DMAX rack doesn't even have that plug though so, don't think it'll matter. Might just order the rack and see how it goes. Will update this when I figure something out
