Why is Victoria also the state with the most local/militant unions as well?

Just out of curiousity, who do you think are the militant unions? There probably are some, but doesn't mean they all have to be laballed as the same.

I'm a unionist (I'm an electrician, so a member of the Electrical Trades Union), and they make sure they do everything by the book. Unionism had a bad light a few decades back, but now they are a very proffesional run organisation, who also look after each and every member.

I did a significant amount of work on the the eastern water recycling proposal and I know a lot of people in the power industry and various water authorities and I can say without a doubt that its the biggest load of crap! To say nothing of the cost issues when it comes down to it the water saved will be sent to industry, a small amount to Geelong and pretty much all of the rest will sent down the rivers to boost flow. How will that help us? What do we get for the billions of dollars and in increased cost of electricity? Nothing!

The tool has also promised to spend 3 billion dollars in the next 5 years upgrading the easter treatment plant. 99% of the people in the water and power industries know his promises on these issues are a total load of crap.

On the other hand Ted is a multi millionaire isent he with investments in so many companies? I can see his decisions if he wins just done to help line his posckets more.

I belong to the working class, i used to vote for labour but now i dont' believe in any of them at all so i VOTED for the GREEN.

I voted for the GREEN now i thought about it i'm like F**K me, what if they want FOUR CATs in every cars to keep the GREEN GREENER!

Oh well, too late .

Dont' forget to pick up today Herald sun, free DVD copy of Making Poverty History concert.

You guys only have to vote for politicians every now and then. I have to live with one  And after seeing all the rubbish first hand, I simply never enrolled and dont plan to vote. Its a dirty scummy game to be in IMO.

Martin Kingham's mob is pretty bad, not as bad as the BLF where though (I had a number of run in's with them.) I have no issues with the principle behind union's, it's some of the policies that they have that I have problems with.

vote labour!!

liberal wants more cops on the roads!

True, they want a more visible police presence, not hiding in unmarked cars and behind speed camera's. They are also going to introduce a more realistic tolerance to speeding, and give cops more discretion when it comes to either warning or fining drivers.

and when you get your defect you'll know who to thank ;)

Yep, myself for driving a vehicle with defective items, common sense suggests that.

Although there may be others who believe the Police or the government are to blame for them breaking the law, I say good for them! ;)

if your sense thinks that having an exhaust/bov etc qualifies as a offence that justifies a $$$ penalty, then you obviously think that these modifictions seriously warrant a car unsafe or "defective" so as to endanger your well being.....and so therefore you must be grateful that bracks and his new laws step in to protect you from harm...... ;)

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
