Im not going to get into a post tag over this. We just disagree. You have your views, i have mine...only mine are right :P

And we do need an officer for every head of population. Thats why deputising any Joe off the streets would be a great idea. That way every one of us can dob someone else in and they can dob us in. Because god knows idiots that drive like tools on the street get caught once and thats the end of it. None of them are repeat offenders, or have made the same honest mistake more then once

I think you need to get over this whole "deputising" thing.

Why would anyone need to be "deputised" to report crime?

If you witness someone being forced off the road by another vehicle, or if you see a child get run down in the street and the driver speeds off, you're largely lacking in basic common sense, good judgement, compassion and any regard for fellow human beings who become victims while going about their every day life.

If you're adamant that your views on this are right, you'd better go off and campaign to have Crime Stoppers shut down.

lol i have to admit i do love living in endeavour hills... see so many fark tards write themselves off because of the highway and general types of people that live around here...

like one tool the other day who smashed up the front of his black R33 on heatherton road near the power rd intersection. Another tool going through a fence and into a tree on amalfi drive and another one just down from there doing the same...

seriously...

There's a name for that, it's called road rage. :D

You have GOT to be kidding me.

Who are you to define what is and what is not "road rage"

simple telling someone they have done something wrong is not rage at all.

Its probaly as far from it as you can get.

Dont just blanket label things because thats how you want it to be

Poiter - i concur

Ash, I've never seen two drivers have a "friendly chat" about what someone may or may not have done wrong. :woot:

Sounds like inark has some idea of the ridiculous things that happen around here.

There are so many "automotive news" stories that I'd love to share, but most are pending cases and/or could be considered offensive, so they're best kept off the board. :ninja:

..anyway, back to the happier news

4WD track at Sandown sounds like a good thing. :sorcerer:

Little update for the week, no more in relation to Sandown yet, just a couple more stacks involving people getting trapped in vehicles.

I hope all the people who constantly complain about traffic laws being too harsh are starting to absorb some of this material.

This really is a major concern, Victoria is facing its highest fire risk ever, and instead of being on stand-by to attend fires, the fire crews are out peeling cars off people.

I understand that part of their job is resuce work, but if fire crews are unable to attend fires due to peoples inability to drive safely, many more lives (as well as homes and businesses) are put at risk.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
