Snowman
Hey Snowy, maybe you have already, but having done a 34 V-spec II for targa Tas this year, you might wanna go right through the rules of mods mate. To enter a car legally as an N1, it needs to have everything to factory N1 spec. Meaning, for eg., you need to purchase a genuine 34 N1 oil cooler kit, at, wait for it.... $11,000 when we last checked!!!! P*SS OFF!! lol.... so we ran with a V-Spec II with some susp/boost/exhaust/Power FC. Came 11th with full dry weather that didn't suit us.... oh, with no brakes after lunch on day 3! lol Hey Marlin, I know the rules. I know Jeff Beable quite well and he's filled me in with a lot of the requirements. But as I said I'm going to SLOWLY get it ready. The main reason I'm doing the turbo's now if because they have to come off to fix a gasket leak anyways. Then in 2007 I'm doing the Dutton National series then in 2008 I'll look at either Lake Mountian and/or Mt Buller. So I have a good 18 months to save up for an N1 oil cooler (as well as all the other bits I need). But I just can't imagine trying to do a 10min sprint without a cooler. But I saw your car is up for sale too mate. I wouldn't be suprised if you don't / haven't already heard from Dom Loughman about buying your ride. (He did a lot of the Tarmac Rallies last year in a BA XR8 - bright yellow thing. You can't miss it) This thing! Marlin
Yeah no worries, figured you'd know them. We didn't have any issues with oil temp in Tassy at all. Hope to see you there one day! cheers! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/145614-should-snowman-keep-the-gtr/page/6/#findComment-2746701 Share on other sites

Scotsman
I wonder what my car would be like in a Dutton ? (with a Scotsman co driver)... Faster! I hear that Dutton are going to exclude AWDs from the event? You guys better start looking for a new car. It seems the AWD have too much grip and are damaging track surfaces...and the facility owners arent happy about it Bris - I warned you about drinking and posting! Hopefully one day I will get a shot at Targa. Ok. SO, who is going to give the Super Subs me and James a drive next year? LOL, we have a lot to prove after this year I got you a trophy at Calder Rally Masters... Then you broke mine.. Your off the Mr. Plow Co-Driver list. PS-Learn to use a handbrake However the big question is who's skills should I employ as my Co-Driver for Dutton 07? Some help required here guys? The main list did consist of: 1. Pete (Bass) 2. Handbags (Newton) 3. Aaron (Mr Smooth) But I think that Pete guy might be gay. Plus I think he's teaming up with Beable.. Decisions. Decisions. Roy
I got you a trophy at Calder Rally Masters... Then you broke mine.. Your off the Mr. Plow Co-Driver list. PS-Learn to use a handbrake You see thats what i hate about you AWD fanboys. How is it i automatically wear the blame when there was a second party pushing and bullying me for the front seat...but i broke the trophyt...i feel terrible about my part in it... but i feel like im being victimised... And no, i am not a butcher so refuse to use the handbrake in my car...if you think its all so fine for the car then give me a drive of your bus and i will soon have you admitting that perhaps the handbrake isnt good for the car. Fark you all...i have been abondened by even my co-driver and his love for AYC. I need to start begging a friend to co-drive with me, only he too doesnt want to use my car and doesnt want to drive with me as he knows i dont take the events serious enough to win...looks like i may as well stay OS Perhaps the Stig or Belsil80 would be interested, yeh Belsil80. Snowman
Fark you all...i have been abondened by even my co-driver and his love for AYC. Listen mate, My new co-driver went to the drags last night in his shopping trolley and ran an 11s 1/4 mile (sure it was an 11.995 but it was still an 11!) That's with the stock turbo and a stock bottom end and R Comps. There are a lot more reasons than AYC to be leaving the silver bullet if you can't even get near them in a straight line contest! LOL. Because you grabbed it off me and it was in your hand. It's OK i got plenty more. It's just funny. Bris, why do you think handbrake is car torture? If you disengage the driveline, there should be no issue? As long as someone less prone to mistakes behind the wheel other than me and Chris are driving then yes. LOL Yeeeaah.. We go hard! Roy
I did not grab said trophy . I was lunging for the door and using your arm to gain an unfair leverage advantage.
