Some night shots for me last night (shortly before getting defected whilst driving around looking for more good photo locations .. *sigh*) ..

You should be able to click on those for a larger image too.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the results.

Certainly not bad for a cheapy camera - just wished it had raw capability so I could have done more with them post-processing...

dude! what did u get done for? :)

Guy was just looking for something to get me for - tried for the tint (but it's factory), ended up doing test and finding the exhaust was too loud, of all things (annoying after I'd requested the original installer of the exhaust some 2.5+ years ago to make sure it was legal).

Regency subsequently took their piece of flesh in finding more things wrong (excessive movement in rear steering rack - my suspension guy had seen it long before and said it was well within spec), and factory xenons (which weren't removed during compliancing. Oddly enough they didn't even test the exhaust when it went through (which was the thing it was defected for!)

Wow Jenna. IMO the 2door spoiler looks ALOT better then the standard 4 door item. It looks excellent in the first shot.

Yup - I'm surprised more people don't do it. I'm stunned how much nicer it looks.

Now I just need to follow-up with the rest of the factory body-kit. I have the rear pods sitting in my garage, and I've organised for picking up side-skirts in the next week. Then I'll just need to get them fitted and resprayed.... should be good!

Good on ya stan! Just goes to show you can make a strong potent automatic.

If I hadn't have bought my gtr I def. would be aiming for something similar in my sedan. Always wanted to make a rb26 automatic :P

Thanks mate! It's taken a long time, but we're there ;)

Awesome Stan!! Congrats buddy.

Cheers~ Congrats on your ride in the "Best of the Best" issue - gotta be happy with that!

Thats one insane GTT satanic!

Thanks :P

There's a build thread being written up here (http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/showthread.php?t=19866) if you're keen. Feel free to sign up and comment / join in on the rest of the JDMST fun.

Damnit, stupid thing about browsing this thread from work means i cant see half the photos :D

i can see a few, so im going to say

Nikolce: love that first pic, the sky looks wicked behind the car

Danski: loving that pic of your car with the river behind, glimpse of the city, very nice!

and John-e-boi what made you decide on blue rims???

I havent taken any proper photos of my car yet, going to do a shoot with my bf (if i ever get a spare day ever again)

passive - to be honest, no idea. just thought i'd try something different. i ended up liking them, so they're staying until i think of another wild colour i can go for lols. everyone seems to have safe colours. white silver black bronze. thought i'll just give it a go. some dislikes it, some loves it. each to their own i guess.

goldzilla - thanks dude. glad you like it (hoping you're talking about my car and not my mates rx7 with meisters lols) =)

satanic - your car is intense dude. awesome job

Dude, I'm definitely referring to your car - FD3's are nice, but your car kills it in those shots!

    • Pretty sure it is a common fault. I believe this is the only part you need, but don't quote me as I don't have a V36.  I also believe it is a bit of a pain to change and the device needs to be encoded to the car once it is replaced, so may need someone with the right tools. Buy Genuine Nissan 48700JF00D (48700-JF00D) Lock Set-Steering. Prices, fast shipping, photos, weight - Amayama
    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
