But your post still prompted me to think,...

it must be a bit difficult to find what rims would suit Silica Breath...

I'm guessing that gold, titanium, chrome, white or even black rims might not suit that coloured car?

Perhaps just matt silver - hmmm, maybe bronze? Thoughts?

i'd just go silver wheels. anything else would look weird.

i know it's off topic but here's a Silica Breath C10 to illustrate the perfectness of silver wheels on silica breathe

again, sorry for non-34 post

Well silica would be derived from sand, so I can see that connection; the breath is probably just Japlish? Better than "Colour giving the super happy special deluxe feeling"?

From memory, it's also know as Champagne Gold.

Haha... I like it though, if I had an M-spec I'd definitely like it in that colour.

Reminds me a bit of the Diablo 6.0 VT colour "Oro Elios" which was a special "final edition" colour, kind of like the M-spec is to the R34.

Weirdly, the colour also kind of reminds me of the old Nokia 8850 Gold, which used to be the phone-to-have, back in the day...

Does anyone know why KSR removed the vented bonnet?

For a second there I thought you thought that this car is KSR... Whoops

If this is yours Drew, I've always liked the look of your car; so clean and tasteful mate.

hey matt, yep its mine. Thank you, thats the same thing everyone who comments on the car says, its clean.

He painted the carbon bits white, its still there lol, just not visible from the photo

Ah ok, I liked it with the carbon bits unpainted.. almost made me want to replace my bonnet with that style just to be able to do it - leave the vents unpainted lol

Either way its still an amazing looking car.

Nothing compared to some of the beasts posted earlier but heres my baby :)

R34 GTR's look tough as stock. I would just lower it slightly and chuck some spacers on, say, 20mm and you got a tough looking guy already.

Heck, buy my spacers: Quality 20Mm Spacers Cheap For Quick Sale! - Skylines Australia

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
