Mate one thing I have learnt is that you can't judge someone by their clothing, some of the richest men you'll meet will be wearing a pair of stubbies, a bonds singlet and target thongs.

As long as you have a signed copy of the disposal notice, containing his details and signature then your covered.

Maybe you shouldn't judge someone by what they wear, some of my best customers would be almost considered bogans :/ Anyway mate if you have a signed copy of the disposal notice and his details then your covered.

so tru, never judge a book by its cover

quite often alot of homeless guys are actually quite rich n dont know it

Hope it all turns out for the best mate, but I hope you know that deposits of over a certain limit ($15K-$20K i think) automatically flag your bank account as "suspicious" with the Australian Federal Police.

I paid ca$h for my 32R and i'm told i can look pretty sus :) ...Stick it in the bank. From memory the "flagged" limit is $10K and unless your doing it alot no one is going to look at you.

your right, flagged limit is 10K and ALL cash transactions above this ammount are refered to the ATO, but not all are investigated.

When i was selling my 33 there was some dodgy guy.

Said he was comming from Tassie, just to buy my car, which he has never seen before. Wanted me to meet him at the airport and he was gonna pay cash and take my car from there. I found it to be too didgy so i pretty much told him if he wants to see the car he would have to come to my house. He kept trying to bargain me trying to MAKE me go to the airport so i pretty much told him to f**k off.

Same thing happened to me when I was selling my celsior. Told him to F off also.

Airport is the worst place these days to do anything like that coz they will think your planting a car bomb or something

i must've been flagged a few times to the ato. i've sold a few cars and had people pay in cash each time.

and i usually pay cash for my cars since i usually go to look at them and buy them on weekends.

on a side note, my mate's old man died a year ago, and my mate got a fair bit of inheritence money (his father was a fireman, so had a pretty good superanuation fund) and he went into the bank one day, and some young teller started accusing him of being a drug dealer, and asking how come he had over $100,000 in the bank at the age of 21. if the teller had actually had a look at the transfer details he would've seen that the transfer had come from a solicitors account. so my mate got him to call the bank manager and got the teller into all sorts of shit.

and i'm not aware of too many drug dealers that keep their money in bank accounts. it leaves a paper trail. there was a drug bust in town where they confiscated a car. packed under the dash was $150,000 in $50 notes.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
