Yeah I get on with guys better then girls as like the same things...but finding alot more girls like me its awesome..

I like to do the girly thing here and there but always end up talking about cars in the end lol >_<

Agree there! None of my female friends are into cars at all, i must bore them to death cos it seems to be all I talk about. They are too into the whole happy family-kid thing, not me! I get bored when they talk about kids n babies, so guess we are even.

I have managed to nag one friend enough that she now wants a 33 at least.

still looking into that, dont you worry,

still got a few more dollars to save up before i buy though,

id rather only take a 20k loan than a 30k loan.

ha nice ...its a nice car

But over here in Sydney all the chick's on SAU I see on a regular basis and we swap mod ideas and problems its great ;) plus there like me, all we like to talk about is cars really  I mean we go shoppin and stuff and do girly things but will always drop in to a wreaker /mod shop on the day trip lol

welp. back to work i go.

if anyone finds emselves wandering through the casino... :D

>_<

Lol ill never be finished, i have a huge list.. just out of money! Am hoping to have a few more things done to it for autosalon this year, mainly few interior mods.. then work from there.

Its a slow.. continual work in progress >_<

Same! :PMost girls just don't get it. On the same line though, half of the guys I talk to have no ideas either. I remeber buying a car from a guy at work (an engineer) he told me the starter motor was stuffed...

Hehe----> All that was wrong : flat battery! :P Makes you wonder hey??

haha yeah..I have been around and helped those guys out...mostly when there car dies... :(

We had a guy at autosalon just gone was in a BMW newish one like 1999 model and had the stereo and neons on the whole weekend, now this guy blew a massive hole in his radiator I mean tore it apart from the pressure with the steam as something was wrong with it must be block or thermostat stuck...but he had no idea what to do and kept asking me if he could drive it home..Im like no way you wouldnt get 10minutes down the road..

so we helped him get it towed and stuff but I was thinking "is he serious"..can I drive it home

Some peeps need to be taught car fundementals before they are allowed to drive :P

You guys 25 is only a quarter of the way there!!!

Im only 27, im engaged and have a 17yr old son in law!

We own the 34, but the other half is too short to drive it! :/

lol now i am old 33 with a 15 yr old son :/ beat that guys the only one who can is 4door sleeper not sure if Andrew has Kids

yeah Jess ive been looking into brake upgrade not sure weather to go full 5stud which would give a lot of rim options but lack of funds prevents big options too

so ive been thinking of getting R33 DBA blanks and getting them drilled to suit 4 stud and keeping my rims

My gf hates me lol fell asleep the other night when i told her my plans about the car (after she said 34s look shit..."get a supra" just pushed it over the line though)

I think Madaz was referring to Evil's situation of living in his car :P

I haven't known anyone who has bought from DMD so can't say.

From all opinons on bodykits, it seems to be a personal opinon on fitment. What could be good fitment to someone may be completely unacceptable to someone else.

So my sugestion for you is to buy from DMD if they are reasonably cheap, and then if you have to pay $$ to have it modified to fit then it would have cost you the same as an expensive kit. If it fits nice first time, then you have saved some $$, if not, then you have a decent fitting kit (with the modifications) at a similar price to an expensive one. Just make sure the body-shop who fits it has plenty of experience in bodykits ;)

DMD is kinda expensive

    • The team at OBD2 Australia are pretty good, shoot them an email and ask them. I've dealt with them before for work stuff. I'd be shocked if it didn't work, so long as Consult can activate the ABS. But you might need to use KLine for it which would be the stopper, as I don't think that piece does KLine comms.
    • Yeah and hence my ghetto way of slamming the brakes, get the ABS to cycle, rebleed seems to be a sensible workaround.
    • Hey! Happy to help. Nothing inherently wrong with the adapter, it's more so with Brett Collins himself. He gave me a lot of incorrect information when I was in contact with him and was extremely rude when I challenged him. He stated I could not use any aftermarket twin plate clutches except for his own, not to use the dush shield, bla bla bla and it was all BS.  Collins stated to cut roughly 14mm's off the housing, I took off 15mm to make room for the dust shield. I would confirm with whatever adapter manufacturer you're using.
    • There's plenty of OEM steering arms that are bolted on. Not in the same fashion/orientation as that one, to be sure, but still. Examples of what I'm thinking of would use holes like the ones that have the downward facing studs on the GTR uprights (down the bottom end, under the driveshaft opening, near the lower balljoint) and bolt a steering arm on using only 2 bolts that would be somewhat similarly in shear as these you're complainig about. I reckon old Holdens did that, and I've never seen a broken one of those.
    • Let's be honest, most of the people designing parts like the above, aren't engineers. Sometimes they come from disciplines that gives them more qualitative feel for design than quantitive, however, plenty of them have just picked up a license to Fusion and started making things. And that's the honest part about the majority of these guys making parts like that, they don't have huge R&D teams and heaps of time or experience working out the numbers on it. Shit, most smaller teams that do have real engineers still roll with "yeah, it should be okay, and does the job, let's make them and just see"...   The smaller guys like KiwiCNC, aren't the likes of Bosch etc with proper engineering procedures, and oversights, and sign off. As such, it's why they can produce a product to market a lot quicker, but it always comes back to, question it all.   I'm still not a fan of that bolt on piece. Why not just machine it all in one go? With the right design it's possible. The only reason I can see is if they want different heights/length for the tie rod to bolt to. And if they have the cncs themselves, they can easily offer that exact feature, and just machine it all in one go.
