The real question is, who is going to be my hatchet man and take LH out? Perhaps the problem will return. Yep, that will do me :D

I believe he pretty much took himself out, absolutely losted it into the second corner. From there onwards the commentator couldn't stop raving about how he could come back from behind as he did in GP2 . Absolute biased wankers! The final result shut him up for good! GO KIMI!

HAHAHA, too bad sooky, poofta cry-baby sour puss Louise Hamilton!

Despite not winning WDC Alonso looked to be a relatively happy man on the podium putting one right back at the face of poofy hamilton and ron denise by finishing 3 positions ahead of LH.

i think we can all be satisfied with the outcome. After the season we have had, Kimi came from nowhere to take the title! Who would really have believed that would happen? it was the remotest of possibilities...

The iceman cometh!

but...

this fuel situation has me very confused.. what if BMW and Williams are disqualified??

well- Ferrari had as much help as possible from the French (ma)FIA

catch you all next year, haters :D

what had me laughing was how kimi took a swig of champers as soon as he got on the podium!

no doubt he'll be partying it up with naked bishies and getting maggot.

unlike the other two who would sit at home and celebrate by drinking tea and nibbling scones.

in regards to the cold fuel issue, lewis (or anyone for that matter) would probably not want to win his first championship that way. it'd be an empty feeling i would think.

Go the Iceman, after his press conference you can tell his confidence has grown now....next year should be exciting, he really enjoys Ferrari now and will just get better, he is finally comfortable in his Ferrari and gee they where quick.

It would be a sour way to win the title by having drivers disqualified and then moving up a few places, while having a crappy race. But i think hamilton will take it and carry on like a lil pube that he is....

I didn't realize how bias those commentators are, they are in bed with the "british" drivers.

the whole race was just what can hamilton do, looks like he will make it, oh no he has to stop again (when the discovered that was like they hit depression)

lmao.. nibbling scones.

RBR racing better get it together next year i want to see Webber on a few podiums!

Congrats to KIMI very nicely done. Although i hate hamilton, good on him for not whinging straight away after the race about other drivers.

couldn't have been a better race for Kimi. Congrats kimi! I think FA was quit happy with the result, i think he would have been happy with anyone winning the championship (including him) as long as it wasn't hamilton.

im a little sad that LH couldnt do it this year...that wouldve been the icing on the cake.

Its consolation that Kimi won this year, hes been fighting for this for year and finally he has broken the duck and good on him, im sure he'll be partying for days on end. Watch out for a new KR next season.

As for ferrari winning bith titles though, as a manufacturer im a little angered by it. Maclaren has had every possible bloody obstacle thrown in their way and for them to lose out by one point must have torn their hearts out...

anyone want to suggest that gearbox glitch was actually a deliberate incident or an act of God?

i have the strangest suspicion it was intended to happen...why i have no idea but ive never seen that happen to a driver this year..

If i am completely honest, LH threw the championship away in China...he would be pretty stoic to not think about that from time to time.

And just for the record, all you haters bashing on LH, grow up.

it sickening to see grown men acting like 10 year olds.

I think LH has done a great job this year, as a rookie he did an unbeliveable job. I think he was a bit arrogant though and thats whats made people hate him. I'm personally not a fan, though i can appreciate the job he put in. At the end of the day though, I'm more than happy to see Kimi get the title. In my books he is 10 times more deserving than anyone else. The constructors title is another mater entirely. Hamilton's gearbox issue was strange, but like you said, he threw it away in china.

Actually, I was a little too excited when I got home...

I don't like LH at all, but he has done a good job, and did well for a rookie.

However, the kid sickens me, he has as much courage as a Frenchman, he needs to cuddle up to Ron when he doesn't win the championship, he has been sponsored by McLaren since the age of 12, unpreecedented in F1, Schumacher, Häkkinnen, Räikkönen, Barichello, Massa and dare I say Alonso, all had it hard, all had to compete in nearly every other level of motorsport, and each had to pilot shit machines untill they got a decent ride, they really had to work hard for what they got... You have people like Schumi and Räikkönen, that could push their machinery past its limits, making the car faster, rising above adversity and physical limits of machinery... Lewie on the other had, will never have that, and will lack that metal that his competators have had for some time (May I add Webber in there too)..

    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
