bye bye fernando. :rofl::P:rant::down::mad:

hope you enjoy the next year in mediocrity.

that should teach you not to blackmail people i the future. Especially when they pay your wages.

Man, you talk a lot of dribble... :)

Alonso free to sign for any team...(if his manager's to be believed) - Article

My money's on him returning to Renault in 08.

Its dribble is it? everyones got a critic.

Hes the dirty sanchez, will be as long as hes in the sport./

I know damned well hes free to sign. Knew that weeks ago. It was a foregone conclusion he would get the boot and rightfully so.

go to Renault you say? They havent been able to close the deal. Do you think renault will hand over the sum needed to secure him?

I doubt it.

Besides, it will only be a one year deal at best because im sure sanchez wont want to be saddled to a mediocre team. He will want a top flight seat and discounting BMW the only other two are Ferrari and McLaren.

and hes NOT going back to McLaren.

Even if Flav is to be believed, the only other option is Toyota.

I think red bull could be a chance for gonzo. I will be interested to see how webber goes against him. he has been equal or better of any team mate he's had before, but if he can better alonso it will hopefully open some doors for him in his last few years of F1. :(

lol, yeah but why would we want to watch Webbo plagued by reliability problems while Dirty sanchez scores all the points? it would just make webbo look even worse.

Hes too good a driver to throw it all away to a know it all FA.

I really believe RBR will pull up their bootstraps next season and really make a go of things.

at least i hope so.

im so interested to know what will happen to FA, as much as i loathe him for his actions this season, because it directly affects 80% of the paddock.

LOL, you really don't like Alonso do you...

My 'dribble' comment was solely directed at the way you carry on about anything to do with Alonso (or Hamilton for that matter). I'm no Alonso fan, but your head is so far up the Mclaren/Hamilton proverbial, it's blurring your vision and it's getting a bit old.

As for where Alonso will end up next year, if it all came down to dollars, then I agree that Toyota would be the most likely choice. That being said, I doubt FA is short of a dime and he'll be relatively well remunerated wherever he ends up, so I'm not entirely convinced that this will be the determining factor for him when deciding which team to join in 08 (may be wrong?).

Renault is familiar, he knows how the team works and he'd be a clear "No. 1" driver - it's everything FA would crave. Additionally, Renault were one of the first teams to abandon development of their 07 car in order to concentrate on their 08 challenger, so i'd expect that they'll be more competitive which would also appeal.

You mention that Flav hasn't been able to 'seal the deal'. Has any other team sealed the deal??? Negotiations take time. Give it another week or two and I dare say it'll become very clear where he's going to end up.

At the end of the day, I was solely offering an opinion (as opposed to regurgitating info off other F1 websites). Regardless, I'm sure it'll be a very interesting few weeks to see where he ends up and the flow on effects for the other remaining drives that are still available :)

Now, back to the Arsenal v Man U game :(

thanks so much for clearing that up for me.

i suppose i have gotten used to regurgitating stuff i find off the internet...

then again, you wouldnt really understand why i am as upset with FA as i am...

you may not even recognize the people in these photos...

Kudo's to you mate. That's great that you got to meet Schumi and Alonso and I for one would be quite envious of such an opportunity. We've all read the story though and the fact that you got to meet the drivers says more about the piss poor security in Japan than anything else. It doesn't make you any more or less informed about F1 than anyone else who has access to the internet.

I met Valentino Rossi at the Aust GP (he even signed a helmet for me), but it doesn't mean I'm a motogp expert...or does it???

Anywho, I don't normally bother with this type of banter (must've been an alcohol inspired moment last night), so I'll cease here to prevent this from degenerating further.

Carry on :(

If it involved strippers then i am all for you posting up the sorted tale...will make better reading then the last 12 pages of this thread :(

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
