P.S there is a $100 reward

just wandering..bernard..how u noe it wasnt the two guys that told u either?? just sitting here thinking bout it.

cuz it seems the perfect keying time.. bunh of drunk gals..two guys walk ova...den yeah..

dunno just finking.

will keep an eye out too

because what alot of ppl dont realise is that automotive spray painting is expensive to b done properly. To get a whole side of a car resprayed in a mettalic colour-guard, door and 1/4 panel at any decent shop is gonna cost u $1500-$2000.

One of the reasons i sold my silvia i used to have was cos i was so paranoid about summin happenin to it, bad driving history and bein young in an import ment no chance of insurance. So if anythin happened to it i would of been devestated. The paranoia got so bad i was no longer enjoyin the car cos i was that worried about summin happenin.

depends on where you go and who you know I guess. Plus it doesn't help for us young drivers who have a big excess to pay, mine is $900 and for that sort of money i'd go get it fixed up myself. Its all good I got full comp but it sucks being under 21

those 2 guys were customers sitting in fast eds.. the outdoor section of fast eds.. i was standing next to them smoking.. so it couldnt have been them..

Yer good panel and paint work isn't cheap. I would prefer to save some extra $$$'s to know my car was done properly and no problems raising there ugly head a couple of years later when the bog and rust appear.

Hey man, sorry to hear bout it ay... i know how ya feel...

not long ago i returned to my car to find the cnt next to me had his door open into my car - it was pushed so hard that it left a vertical dent about 12cm long and almost 1cm deep... i walked up to him and ripped the door of my car, yer it was jammed into my side... worst of all, the guy sed that it wasnt him!!!! wtf!!! anyways called the cops n went through the usual stuff... and guess wat, nothing out of it really... had to pay for the repairs myself... drives me mad how the system works some times ay... yer my premium is 2500 for the sake that im 18... anyways there's my story so i know exactly how it feels... >_<

I hate dickheads like this that have no respect.

My car was keyed outside my work all the way down the passenger side right across the whole door and the rear quater panel. Couldn't believe the size of it. Was so pissed off. I always park my car right out front and I'm always looking out to see that no one is around it. When some old bomb car parks next to mine, I even go outside and watch them get in or out of their car. Suck that we have to be so paranoid.

Good luck with finding them.

Got my new car today, kindly someone at DPI licensing centre at City West backed into it and did a runner. Cheers!

Karma karma karma

On your first day? oh man thats harsh... the karma police are gonna be working overtime for the next few weeks.

i know how u feel my old car parked it at the shops come back n theyd keyed the back bumper n boot n had some low life smashed my 31 up a couple of months ago did 6 grands worrth of damage got it back 3 days ago n got hit in a car park today

  • 3 weeks later...

Someone should go park their car in a bad area, and hide around a corner with a baseball bat and some buddies.. i know it's asking for trouble, but damn would it feel good to get back at the low lifes that do these sorts of things =P and it would defintitely make them think twice about doing it again in the future.

It's a shame you didn't get the whole plate number though

 hey guys.. last week thursday night at about 12:30 midnight.. car got keyed on the left panel behind the door.. 5 girls that came out of the bar next to fast eds in carousel was pissed drunk i think.. i was at the outdoor section of fast eds smoking when i saw the girls walkin towards their car.. mine was parked next to theirs.. da girl sitting at the passenger side kept her door open and stared at me.. next thing i know there were 2 dudes that were sitting at the outdoor section of fast eds told me my car was keyed.. i ran to my car and saw the scratch marks...

please help me to locate the car.. it was a burgundy red holden astra 4 door 2000 model(i think)

the number plate that i got was 1APK473.. went to the police station to report it and they tried to trace down the number.. but it was a white nissan.. we are quite sure bout 1APK.. just not too sure bout the last 3 digits but it should be pretty close... if anyone has seen this car around.. please let me know.. my mobile number is 0402741025...

if i cant track down the b*****s.. i would need to pay an excess of $1800 for my car to get resprayed.. and i dont have that sort of money... if anyone helps me them down.. i would give a reward of $100..

P.S if the 2 guys that were sitting in fast eds that informed me my car was keyed.. pls sms me so i can keep your phone number incase we find the person who did it and if u guys are willing to be my witnesses it would be great!!

Cheers

I seriously can't be bothered with my paint job anymore, too many key marks, pple scratching my bumper and apparently paint remover thrown on my car. fugheads. I'll wait for my 60% ncb with protection and claim everything at one go when someone goes off on my car again.

    • Hey guys, Just want some advice on r34 GTT ac system. Since I’ve owned it, the ac compressor, doesn’t matter the set temperature or ambient temperature, runs for around 10 seconds then disengages the clutch, then re-engages everywhere 30 seconds or so and keeps repeating this.    is this normal?   I had it recharged today as it was slightly low and thought it would fix it but still does it. it cools fine in summer even prior to the recharge, except for the usual warmup when stopped or in traffic (still yet to wire overheat fan to on with ac)   any thoughts would be much appreciated
    • To plug the hole. The engine plant may not have known whether the car it was going into had a gauge or not. It was a long time ago and the integrations might not have been fully modern. Or they might not have cared because the extra inventory and processes to save a few cents on the sender might have cost more anyway. But please tell me you are not still confusing the idea of a pressure gauge sender, and an oil pressure light switch. The switch will be out there. In a separate hole. Probably with only one wire running to it. Running the light.
    • Blower needs to go low on the exhaust side, displacing the AC and PS, which you have to decide whether you want to keep and how and where to relocate if you do. Electric option for PS is, at least, helpful. Sadly, there is no workable 12V electric AC of any value. Whilst the blower is the last compression step before the throttle, and so it might seem a good idea to have it near the inlet manifold (as mentioned above), you probably want it to go through an intercooler first, so, having it on the opposite side of the car facilitates that air flow path. The turbo discharges into the blower, so proximity of the turbo's compressor outlet to the blower's inlet is nice. But then you might want to intercool that too, before boosting it again....which would probably be a ball ache. Routing pipes out to the front and back could be a bit shit. If there was room for (at least) a small (but preferably larger) water to air core on that side, then that would probably be the best approach. I guess a reasonable alternative would be to locate the blower where the alternator is (more or less, associated with the inlet manifold, per Matt's thought), and somehow incorporate a water to air core into the manifold, sort of like they do for modern blown V8s. The big difference here though is that those V8s have only the one throttle (upstream the blower) and only the one compression step (the blower) and no need for too much in the way of bypass/blowoff valves. Whereas in a twin charged 6, you do need to think about one or two bypass valves associated with the 2 compressors and you would prefer to have the intercooling done before the air has to pass through the throttle. You'd like the throttle to work approx the same no matter what the compression is doing. But if it is located in hot air stream before a cooler, then sometimes the air will be real hot, sometimes it will be quite cool, and the throttle mapping/response will be quite different between those two cases. The throttle, if sized for hot air, would be too large for cold conditions. It's all a ball ache.
    • Package SC on exhaust side. Remote mount turbo. Still a fair bit of room when you get creative on the inlet side of the motor too. Especially if you can get really creative with the welding, and effectively build it into the bottom of the inlet manifold. Would definitely take some design work, and some trial and error, to make sure flow works well still! Might be easier to just start with the Nissan March though... All the work is already done for you...
