Guilt-Toy
I am wondering when would be the best time in the rpm range to turn on NVCS ? I have it set to 4000rpm at the moment and i think that is a bit too late.... Does anyone know what the best combination would be ? i do lots of freeway driving so would it be bad to have it turned on for long periods of time on the freeway if i set it to 2500rpm that would mean it will be on all the time when driving on the freeway... if its not good then i could set it to 3200rpm or something.... anyone have any information or experience on this ? BHDave
It should turn on just off idle and turn off again somewhere in the mid 5's. I can't remember the exact revs. Mine is set to switch off at 4500 from memory which gained me a few rwkw between 4500 and 5500. Setting it lower made no difference. BHDave
It's one of the features you can only get to with the lap top software. I don't know which version my tuner uses sorry. aphid
dyno once with the solenoid unplugged, and a second with it wired perminently on.. where the two lines cross is the ideal powerband to engage it at.. perhaps a couple of hundred rpm earlier to give it time to activate.. paulr33
to edit the vct kick off you need; fc pro software power excel software fc datalogit fc tune and a suitable cable Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/153331-nvcs-when-is-the-best-time-to-turn-it-on/#findComment-2858385 Share on other sites
