Mongoose M80s Buy And Install In Sydney?

Been checking out all of the recent discussions on the Mongoose M80 Series and they sound impressive. Where is the best place to purchase a M80s? Any recommendations on installers? Could I just buy the alarm and take it to any auto-electrician?

Can you also let me know the price I should be looking at paying incuding installation? How long do they take to install...?? 2hrs...?? more...??

One other thing. The car has standard central locking at the moment but I would like to have keyless entry as part of this setup. WIll the M80S automatically unlock the doors when disarming or do i need to purchase an extra component?

He can supply and fit and he can come to you!! ;)

dude, you dont want anyone installing it, if he knows where you live, thats a big no no.

if he can install it, he cant definatley get through it

Most places that sell them will install them. It should cost no more than $499- and will take around 4hrs to install. It will work with an existing central locking system. A mate got one about 2 weeks ago, and there pretty good.

so does that mean I have acess to 300+ cars here in brissy...

sorry but paranoia is a bad thing. I know this guy and his work hence why I refer to him in sydney. beleive me a skyline is not all he works on (try porsche!)

Unless you install your alarm yourself, someone will install it for you, and know what sort of alarm, and how it is installed. There is a small element of trust, so maybe its good to go with someone who is recommended. But it's still better to get a professional install, than a "top secret home job" that isnt secure.

thanks everyone for your help... i have decided to go with an M80AU fitted by Platinum PPI... extremely good price and seemed like a really good bloke... plus came highly recommended and close to home... going in this saturday so i will let you know how it goes....

      All this talk about fuel and fancy ECUs, meanwhile my poor old R32 has neither.... When the ignition is turned on, should there be power running o the fuel pump constantly or just for the few seconds it usually takes to prime the pump? About to go have another look at it, have watched some YouTube vids on how to use a  multimeter and looked at some wiring diagrams but really have NFI what I'm looking for because electricity is invisible

      Yuh....but weren't all the supertourers, except maybe the Audis, FWD? I don't recall any of the others being AWD.

      Yeah, hard to find and a pain in the ass to change with the transverse engine. I’ve worked on a GTiR before and it’s not a job I’d ever want to do again. theres a company in South Africa that makes RS3 gearbox adaptors for the AWD SR20 including gearbox mounts, so I could modernise it and go a dual clutch with paddles. For now tho, it ticks all the boxes. Super cheap, can throw the kids and their junk in the back, and SR20 that I can turbo cheaply, a CVT that’s not a dog’s breakfast like the V35, and has 80% interchangeable parts with stuff I can source from the wreckers cheaply…. But it’s still unique. I love the wagon back of the Autech version. It’s cheap enough that I can buy another stock manual FWD Primera with SR20VE, swap the gearbox to the N15 pulsar short gear ratio box, swap out the brakes to the R32 ones I pulled off my 32, register it on club plates and take it racing. $1300 shipping from NZ. Heaps of parts and aftermarket builders for transverse SR20’s in NZ.
