Who is keen.

I am very keen after having my accident.

I would rather spin out and hit a cone then hit an enbankment again. Alot cheaper in my mind.

I also want to feel what my car can do in the right environment.

Who is keen on a safe and controlled environment to see what their cars are capable of doing?

If I get enough interest i will look into it further.

All i know of is the AAMI driver awarness course thing out at AAMI stadium.

Does anyone else know of other driver training courses in SA.

I'd be keen

I would prefer a day at Malalar with plenty of practice time (not all theory).

I believe Manta Racing can arrange this with a pro driver (can't remember who) if we can get sufficient numbers.

For those contemplating this it would be worth budgeting for new brake pads (unless changed recently) new fluids (brake, and engine/trans oils) as well as a wheel allignment prior to the track day.

very keen

from memory i have seen similar thread at least a few times in the past.

Everytime, we have a lot of people express their interest but can't make it at the end for various reasons

so please ask for a deposit before organise anything to avoid disappointment

As Maxx said.

I have seen a few other threads like this and have noticed that ppl say they are keen but don't pull through in the end.

I will continue my research in the matter and once i have finer details I will post them up.

And yes a deposit will be needed so I can lock in numbers.

As 4door_Sleeper said.

New brake pads will be a must. Coolant/ oils well i change mine too often. LOL well I did when my car was on the road. 3months baby :(.

I will talk to Clem out at Mallala when I go there for the G1 drift comp on the 17th.

I will also look into this Manta Racing company.

Oh and who is the Stig. LOL, Who claims they are the bomb of driving??????????

For some reason I am Looking at you Joel (cubes) :woot:

I think if u are with Shannons they will either give a discount of full refund of the cost of the course (they do with bike rider safe training) as they deem it to be a benefit to you not having any accidents...

Cubes aint a racer....let him take out the baby seat in the rear of the car :woot:

I 'd be interested too... maybe we should all just join the evo club track day in march and have a thrash round mallala... of course there is no instruction involved... I don't think so anyway!

OK AAMI Dkilled Drivers course is out of the question.

Under 25's only or some crap like that.

I think a track day out at Mallala will be the only way to do this.

I wish Port Gawler was still open. Or AIR.

More research needed.

Oh and who is the Stig. LOL, Who claims they are the bomb of driving??????????

haha how cool would it be to have a control car and everyone gets 3 laps to determine.... the stig of adelaide :(

oh well we can dream

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
