yeah I wouldn't plan to be parking there. it will be surrounding streets basically whatever you can find. maybe do some skyline car-pooling? :P

dontfeelcold and silhouette are in.

Hi all

Looking for a bit of help, and was wondering whether anyone who has a R34 GTT (preferable) or R33 GTST with SydneyKids group buy kit installed, could give me a quick ride in their car (passenger of course, but if you're willing, driver is also okay).

I wanted to see first hand how the setup deals with crap roads, bumps and so forth.

I am not so concerned with handling because I know it is already top notch, so dont need to be shown how well it corners and so forth.

Can anyone possibly assist? It would be much appreciated!!

Thanks

Hey all,

Firstly a quick intro...

The names Jonathon and i work in the motorsport and development division of Bilstein Australia, which is located within Heasmans.

Thanks for the interest you guys have shown in the night so far. It will be good to see you all come along and pick our brains and check out our facilities and what we do.

One thing Beer Baron hasnt mentioned is that there will be a BBQ dinner for all the SAU members attending. This is included in the night so theres no cost! :(

As for parking, there is limited parking available both out the front and behind. I would recommend coming down the lane at the back as the driveway from the princes hwy is a front spoiler killer. You can also park on the grass out the back if you can get your car up the small gutter.

Anyway, see you all there tomorrow night. :P

Cheers,

Jono

Thanks Jono, I should have mentioned it, but it either slipped my mind, or I think last time I spoke to Neil we hadn't confirmed what we were doing exactly bbq wise.

i finish work at 7ish, would get there at around 730 or just after, would this be a problem?

Even though the skyline has a complete setup from Heasmans looks like i might have to drive the swift because one injector on the line isnt firing properly..

or should i burble it down there and hopefully get some advice, get it looked at in general?

Thanks

Ed

they wont be looking at peoples cars to give specific advice. it's just a general info session. so yeah it doesn't matter if you come by skyline, swift, scooter or skateboard.

I have 3/4 of the kit in 33 gtst

the shocks, springs, sway bars and front castor

If we have time can take you for a test drive, I'll drive though

    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
    • I'm getting PTSD flashbacks seeing that name again.  With my turbo swift, I got 1,500km of street use on a Jim Berry clutch before it exploded and took out my input shaft with it.
