What sort of attitude do you expect???????

I was seeking some information and everybody that had SFA intelligent to say, did this.

There are people on this thread with their name down to visit Heasman's in April? From what they have had to say here today I wonder why, because they have demonstrated they have nothing between the ears, so why would they waste their time on something so technical.

Now! as you so kindly pointed out, I have.

I now know Name and Address of the culprit, so I guess he can look forward to my visit in the near future.

Enjoy the crap you spill on here because I wont be needing you any longer. I have what I needed and all it took was a phone call.

oh yeah!!! thats what i was thinking of! thanks! :)

lol!!! i like the way you think! :)

dude.. you sound like a keyboard warrior... why would you even attempt to find out details of this person through a forum anyway! people here are INTELLIGENT enough not give away people addresses etc to some random stranger! so guess we alll have more sense than you give us credit for!

and by the looks of things, you've obtained your information through some illegal method, otherwise you wouldn't have been so hesitant in the first place, and you certainly wouldn't have tried here first! We all know the plates of the car you're looking for, and i'm sure SAU will not hesitate to pass your login info to the police should something happen! if you have a problem with this guy/girl then go via the proper channels rather than try to be a hooligan and a hero

OH! and i'm sure invasion of privacy is a lockable offence

That's an excellent idea, and for your information I have done just that. Road rage is also a gaolable offence, so tell your friend what is coming.

The fact that I can also get the information goes with the job.

Have a nice day!

He's noone i know but can you tell me whats coming??! I'm interested in knowing these things!!

Isn't the easy solution to this drama, is simply delete the thread ?

Regardless, this bloke could have a legit reason for contacting this person. I'd wanted find someone if they f**ked with my car or something similar.

I personally wouldn't use the same method thou.

i think you misead what i wrote... you TOLD us the plates of the car, therefore we have info on the car you're after!

and dude.. if its something wrong against you, why do you have such an attitude? why don't you just report it to the police along with the persons details? why the need to come on here and act all secretive and then yell at people and then son of rajab it and then and then and then :\

Aren't you just a prize?????? And a moderator??????? This place has really gone to shit when moderators can join into this. Why don't you KOFF like you told me.

You don't have to remove me, I'm going on my own, This forum shows the intelligence of a pea and for those that have suggested I wanted to be a hero, I just wanted to talk to the guy, nothing more, but it's now gone a bit further than that, which is a pity.

not that this has anything to do with what we are talking about.. but you're on the Heasmans list aswell! Why is that, you are obviously so full of technical knowledge, surely a bloke of your intelligence doesn't need a pesky suspension lesson?

lol

Don't delete this thread just incase this guy does actually do something illegal to the person he is after.

I would like to say that you where the one that was rude to person's on here first and I would think that you would understand that the information on cars and members that we may have is not for anyone that wants it. I would like to say sorry for my comment on the Match maker .com that was just a joke as I thought you could not be serious but again i was wrong. But you are the one out of line and if you have a problem with someone then go to the police if that is the case if you are after to purchase something off this person then say that then, don't be all 007 about it and then get upset that people are asking questions remember that this is a forum and we will not tolorate your stupid remarks. So if you are going to leaving us, I think that is the best and please if you come back remember that it works both ways. Im sure you would not like us giving your information out either. :)

as if tell ppl off for not being your research bitches. as if tell moanie and liz off like that too.

if this were face to face. i reckon someone would be feeling quiet right now. (hint - it wouldnt be me)

OK!

Last night I was blown off by this car up Mt Keira, even if I wanted to race the clown, it wouldn't be much of a contest because I had an 8 x 5 trailer on the back with about half a tonne in it.

Now! the fact that this car went past me doing about 120 in 80 zone, I would have expected never to see it again, but no! not the case, on the Bulli Appin Rd guess what's in front of me, stop, start, go like hell, slow to a crawl, go like hell etc etc etc.

On 2 occasions it nearly stopped dead and with the trailer on the back it nearly jack knifed and I was pissed off. Why do they do this, why don't they just go away, what earthly reason did the clown have to do this and not only to me, everyone else he encountered on the road. Like it's wet and at 10 at night. It overtook cars and cut them off, causing the instant reaction to brake, which snowballed down the line.

How many have had a trailer go over on them and take the car with it, it isn't a pretty sight.

I wasn't going to take it anywhere other than maybe talk to the person or send a message through someone he knows, but you all bombarded this thread with sh!t, pissed me off further and this is the result.

Go out and hook up a trailer and go cruising at 100 and have someone do this in front of you and see how you feel.

    • Did this end up working? Did you take some pictures?
    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
