Looks like I was completely wrong on the chaser. And the photos above actually look pretty cool - now if only they came in a wagon...

All the same, I still prefer the looks of skylines/stageas and the chaser just makes me think "vip" which totally isn't what I want my car to be. :)

No comparisons.

My R33 felt nervous, edgy and too tail happy on Twisties.

Ask many of my mates how the Chaser did up in the hills, Reefton Spur, Dandenong runs - I had to park the car and wait a couple of minutes for the other cars to arrive at times. Very very stable, very easy to predict.

Weight is light, suspesnion is the biggest OVERLOOKED thing on Chasers.

Centerline suspension in Victoria FREAKED out when they see my Chasers FACTORY setup. They were expecting a Cressida. They go to me, this is nothing short of a race car, all aluminium components, rose joints like on the race cars, underbody bracing.

In my opinion, asking how a chaser handles compared to a R33 is like asking - Whats quicker? A Hyundai Excel or a Skyline.

Hearing that makes me want a Chaser even more than I do now, but I have no money :(

A Chaser is a pretty big car from what I've seen, but for it to handle as good as you say it does...... :D

Any pics of your car Starionturbo?

haha fair enough, i didnt think my r33 was nervous and un balanced though, i know 2 door ones are a bit. you have a ceffy too?, much difference there in comparison?(i have one of them things too ;) )

I was just thinking they do look alright....

and the amount of bullshit attention you would get from police would be slightly less than what every kid drives...

<< read what I drive.. every 18yr old an his mate own what I drive... doesnt make me like it any less.. i love the damm thing... wish i could drive it without being bloody harassed though.

2jz setup in a chaser sounds good... (not a 1jz fan) give it the supra's drive line.. has 4 doors... sounds sexual.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
