Fairly long mod list all of which are support mods and fairly unexciting :P. The car has had a complete GTR conversion from engine to seats. Just got the body repaired (inc new rad support), sprayed up and kitted (although i'm thinking of going to a GTR frontbar, the URAS is way too low for street use) at DT panels in Springvale. Anyways here are some pics for your entertainment :P.

Well those photos were taken in tassy where I have just come back from holidays. Hit up a few mountains down there and it certainly impressed :P. Given that the whole front end is GTR (panels wheels brakes etc..) it handles just like a GTR.

If ya don;t mind me asking? How much did u pay for the front GTR gaurds? and how did they go fitting up? Im wanting to look into getting some for my 4dr but still don't know which way i want to go.

Also how did u go with the rear gaurd flaring? Looks like a good job. I assume u sprayed ya car after you roled/ flared them.

All questions welcome  don't be shy.

Guards aren't cheap.. over 300 each but there are some a lot cheaper I think for sale atm already primed in vic (just check to see how straight they are first!). They fit up fine but make fitting any sideskirts or gts-t frontbars a nightmare :D plus you need indicators.. so it all adds up pretty quick. My sideskirts are bent right around to fit over the guards and I definately wouldn't recommend doing that.. the only option which I can really see is to get gtr sideskirts and gts-t sideskirts of the same company and cut and paste.. expppeennssive. They do however change the entire road presence of the car and give it a much more aggressive profile and also help get some weight off the front! Definately don't regret getting them .

The guards were rolled by an NS member called athid, pm me for more details if interested he goes out and rolls many guards a week and is expert with Nissans :). My paint flaked, 90% of R32's paint will flake, so you pretty much should expect that.. although you can probably repaint over for a cheaper alternative. If you are getting a respray.. get the guards done.. cheap and excellent mod . My guards were rolled the day before it got painted up :). With the amount I have done (which is basically the maximum you can do to a 4 door) I should be able to happily fit GTR offset wheels. Another thing to note is that due to the design of the metal and underlying support on 4 doors (this isn't an issue for 2 doors) It seems almost certain that the metal above the flare will "pop" out and that the rear door seal will move up slightly. A good solid thump (one way is with yellow pages and a big tap :)) will "pop" it back in but again you might need to do some work on the paint if unlucky and the door seal cannot really be fixed (although it didn't have any noticeable effect whatsoever on the door operation on my car).

Engine isn't really modified (at least not to my knowledge) stock R32 1994 engine with stock turbos, Greddy 65mm (I think) intercooler + piping, 044 fuel pump, blitz dual screen BC, 3 inch exhaust, big koyo radiator and that's about it. 2 weeks ago it got 218.7 rwkw on the dyno which is a little less than I had hoped but pretty decent for 1 bar boost. Hoping to get a powerfc and some cam gears fairly soon and make up my mind on a nice set of steel wheeled turbos but for now i'm just enjoying having it back on the road .

Bwahahaah....dave you post whore...i remember there was a time someone was hanging Sh!t on me for having a kitted car...now look whos talking...but that said...car looks great and seems to be driving better than ever...catch ya soon bro...

I agree with what you said about the front bar. I was going to suggest the GTR front bar. Are the rear seats also GTR? Would be curious to see how good they looked :).

Sadly not i've been hoping to get some GTR seats for the rear but alas none have come up at a decent price lately. Apparently they fit with only minor mods but have around an inch extra space between the sides and the material.

Marco, the engine -> gearbox is all straight out of GTR, the tailshaft is 4 door GTS-4 the rest everything else is the same in both GTS-4 and GTR.

Just go through the for sale section. I saw a couple of sets ranging from 100-200. I've heard no mods for the rear seats, only like an inch gap either side too, not that noticable apparently though. Good luck.

I think it needs to be lower :D

What are you rim/tyre specs? Width, offset etc.

Those pics are pretty old, is it still looking like that?

Edited by -Jimmy-

Just GTR rims with the standard tyre :S. Nothing much has changed.. had a year off cars (well actually I bought a silvia and farted about with that instead). Also I don't really want it lower, it is just far too impractical.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
