i might be wrong, but it was my understanding that "genuine" N1 R32 GTR's didn't have ABS??? I am not sure about the R33's but I am 95% sure about the R32's.

The N1 spec was chopped of ABS, Air-con, Stereo, Rear windscreen wiper all in order to reduce weight... I am sure they also came with a slightly different tuned ecu.

There was a R33 N1 for sale not so long ago here, maybe give this guy a call to check out the difference?

If you can get the vin/chasis numbers from this car you might be able to get parts details from nissan?

Yeah, it's for sillbeer. Unfortunately the Z32 Brake Master Cylinder we got in from Nissan was for an ABS equipped car, so it only had the 2 ports on it. I of course need one for a non-ABS car. I was silly enough to think the US version of the Z32 BMC's were the same as the JP/AU versions - but of course as the US are LHD, their BMC's have the ports on the opposite to ours, and so far I'm yet to track down a Z32 BMC in RHD in 1 1/16" size with the 3 ports on it.

So next possible option is the one from the R32 GT-R N1. If I can't find anything, I'll look at just using an R33 GTSt in non-ABS format.

And yeah GODTHRILA, you're right on all accounts, but finding someone with an N1 in Perth will allow me to eyeball it firsthand.

Cheers

Brendan

Hi Brendan,

I have been following silbeer... looking sweet mate.

My previous post had a link on it for a R33 N1 (I think it was previously owned by Paul Rogers of the Wildcats!)... just click on the part the has "here" and is underlined... should take you to the carsales website and from there you should be able to contact the owner.

Scotty

that one has ABS scott, just looked at the pics. :D

my bad... didn't even look at the pics.

Maybe call prestige motorsport and ask if they have any vin/chasis numbers of any R32 N1's they have brought in. I am sure that they will have imported a few in their time. From there you can get part details from nissan.

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
