sl33py
What exactly does the missing VCT mean if you have stock cams? I know it doesn't affect those with aftermarket cams. paulr33
it means it will never engage VCT it could leave the car with a sluggish flat feeling i will have to test it out fully before i can comment Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/161511-rb26-pfc-working-on-rb20rb25/page/4/#findComment-3079800 Share on other sites

paulr33
hi, given a recent influx of information i see very little need for this to continue. please read http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=167846 in detail it covers that 25t PFCS are still available, just in low volume which means all the factory stuff works, no need for loom and VCT works it has a higher price tag sure but its not too bad. my 26FC & loom & changes was going to be near 1250 anyway at pure cost and parts i will think about rb20 however and cubes testing this Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/161511-rb26-pfc-working-on-rb20rb25/page/4/#findComment-3108533 Share on other sites

vitz_n1
rb20 are still not available through ap engineering though?? stick with it!! still quite a bit of interest for rb20 items. and there will be a few after the rb25 version i would imagine, as it appears this would be a cheaper option. paulr33
no progress yet, my 33 has a flat battery as im not driving it so i cant test if the 26 fc boots up on the 25 without any changes (dang) will get car sorted in the next day or so and begin testing got some pics of the latest 26 FC have noticed some changes when i opened it up theyve gone for a newer style 78F4 which is tiny compared to the older one and its not in a normal cpu socket, its directly on the board also some other minor changes on the board and much newer reversion FC 21 A0 is the board version will be interesting to see what version hand controller and firmware it has. the packaging looks updated a little and better than what i recall my 25 being stock ecu vs 26 fc and loom adapter loom adapter close up long shot of loom connected up 26 fc serial # and model # main board long view the smaller cpu is on the right half way down you can also see the plug in socket (white) about half way down on the board assuming some sort of internal flash upgrade / change port for apexi staff main board version # Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/161511-rb26-pfc-working-on-rb20rb25/page/4/#findComment-3114026 Share on other sites
Creatd Motorsports
Hi Guys, I have a R32 GTS-t in the workshop at the moment, I was originally going to supply him with an AP PFC, however the one supplier I know that has one wants to sell it stupidly expensive ($2300). I have converted a GTR RB26 PFC for him, I only just got it going, it seems to be working fine. Im going to tune it today, ill let you know how it goes. I can definately say it is 100% possible. paulr33, im looking into the R33 schematics at the moment for the VCT, if I have any info on it ill make sure I let you know. Cheers Rob Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/161511-rb26-pfc-working-on-rb20rb25/page/4/#findComment-3126242 Share on other sites
