I went out there with a friend to film his ute.

i took my gtr out but didnt run. i dont find drag racing that interesting. but wouldnt mind doing it once so i can be a sick c**t.

i filmed two guys out there, one in a black gtr that was fairly stock by the looks of it, you did a great last run which i dont think i got on film

and the red one, i got you a few times also but it seemed your launches were letting you down.

if you want the footage i have i will rip it off the camera later today and send it to you, (if your on here) let me know.

Andrew

Warned for an 11.8 WTF. so you need to tack the cooler piping. tell me when, i will come over and you can do mine as well

Ha, I'm going to get those tuff clamps from just jap to enclose that massive 1.25 bar of BOOOOOOst psi!!!

It gave me the s$%ts.

Yeah, run quicker than 12sec now and you need andra license $120, I'm sure.

I didn't get towed! It drove under it's own NA power!

Got a best time of 12.4. Revving it too far for turbos power band, I guess.

Worst 23.0 NA baby!!!

Michael's black GTR ran a 11.8 and got warned!

Oh na power on the gtr is loads of fun :(

now i know why i dont want to go drag racing. the 45 bucks will soon turn into $165 i think i'd rather a track day :D

i'm going to check out pritek for some clamps mine are giving me the shits too.

only clamps worth buying imo: sard dual bead clamps. not too hard on the wallet either. i have put them on the GTR and have never blown a hose in 3 years...

No need to go for Sard specifically - Pirtek sells some serious clamps which I have used on the GTR and my S14 in the past and they never let me down.

yeah it's just that sard are the only ones I've seen that have 2 beads which means they will hold a good seal with much less physical force (no need to tighten them up to buggery like with the single bead clamps). you are right, there is no reason conventional clamps wont work fine if used properly though.

its the problem with conventional ones they are like a use once and replace deal. but they definatley do the job if they are in good condition

11.99 to be exact

you do know that means the same thing, yeah? unless you mean 10.99 and below

below 12sec you need andra licence.. .below 10secs you need to get a roll cage and meet other wsid requirements

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
