bikes are out of teh question.

and NO i'm not saying r32's are overpriced just because they're too expensive for me.

like i said i've seen and know of decent examples of r32s and r33s that have gone for that much.

thanks mate will ring up about this rs.

i've owned turbo 4's and have an idea of what kind of petrol turbo 6's drink. nowhere near as bad as rotors....

Strongly disagree. I don't think there's a decent well sorted R33 out there for $12k. If you do believe that, then good luck with any of the cars you buy

Get a bike man... that ticks all your boxes

Its fast, cheap, $20 petrol a week (if that), running costs are a fraction of a car and you can park the damn thing anywhere. Not to mention a lot of chicks get a tiny little wet when they hear the word 'motorbike'. Your need for a $8000 weapon of a ride problems are solved

yeah why is that....couple of chics i was talking to, they asked me what do i drive - so i said skyline, their faces didnt change, and then i added "and i ride a motorbike to work" and their eyes just lit up....i dont understand it lol....

so this is why the skyline was sold......

chicks like to ride things...

Save your self some more money and buy a decent R32/R33.

I bought mine for $13k and it had its fair share of problems in the first couple of months. I'd hate to see what an $8k r32 problems are...

Every R32/R33/import car needs some work done on it, so unless you have any emergency money ontop of the $8k you might end up in trouble.

Pulsar SSS with a GTI-R conversion? :)

s13 either the 1.8 or 2.0 turbos will be around 8k right?

yeah i've looked at some 180sx's but i dunno i don't think they're worth spending any money on at all

only thing its missing is gtir drivetrain :/

am i asking for too much here? i mean all i want is a yellow topless ferrari 355 for 8grand....

Like everyone else has stated, you will be pretty hard pressed trying to find a good Jap turbo car for 8k, particularly ones that are 1989 or newer. The only thing that will probably come close is a CA18DET Silvia, or a f**ked 180sx, but they will need a bucketload of work. Same with the R32.

You best stretch your budget a little. When I bought my 180sx, I was originally looking at spending around $16-17k, but all the 180's I looked at needed a slight amount of work, whereas the one I bought, was for $19.5k, and haven't had ANY major troubles yet, and it's still going strong.

Good luck with whatever you buy though :)

Here you go...what a beast for $8k...

just ignore the 170,000kms, and the overall condition of the car itself and its a bargain.....thats what all R33's should sell for...

What a pig! Actually could probably be cleaned up and be pretty good...

What's the deal with this... -Wheels & Tyres: 19" mag wheels on frount, 16"mags on rear, do have both sets if required

No thanks, I like the look of 19's and 16s together... haha!

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
