You just need to create some structures to store the content really. Basically a home page portal, with separate sections on Stagea specific stuff, thats easy to read, navigate, search and use.

Maybe something like:

Home Page

Introduction

Gallery

Technical Articles

How to's

The RB25DET & RB26DETT

Suspension

Plus a few others, but you get the drift.

Showcars (Maybe have a voting button for each photo & then people can vote for their favourite Stag in the gallery - one vote each only!)

INSERT YOUR OTHER STUFF HERE

You would still want strong links with all things skyline though...that goes without saying of course. I'm always going to be hanging out in this site too.

Of course, there is the technical hosting bits, the IP bits, E-commerce bits & so on, but its not like it's going to be as big as myspace, so maybe its just a bit of local hosting till it gets some momentum & content. It will be cool anyway for those who want to do it.......I'm a bit busy right now lol

Anyway, just a thought

where's the smiley with the thoughtful tug of the beard.............

Thanks Luke,

Yeah pretty close to the structure I am considering, I would actually put the introduction text on the home page so there is no need for 2 pages there, extra clicking makes for poor usability... Definitely a fairly static site based on clear concise information and directed back to here as the Australian online community for Stagea owners for sure. And it needs to look good to get people excited about the model(s)!

Cheers

hehe  agreed.

Could have called it swataustralia.com and had the same reaction "WTF is S.W.A.T?!?!"

(Stagea Web for Advanced Tune)

nissanstagea.com at least has a chance of being found (once the poor punter searches Nissan Australia's website, only to find nothing JDM Stagea related).

Wow cant believe I missed this one but shows how busy I have been with work I havent been able to check on here for ages. If you want any help at all I am happy to contribute I have hundreds of images and have the original HTML files on my computer with all the Stagea stuff from my original website and some videos as well. If you want me to send you anything in particular or want me to help in any other way let me know and I will be happy to do what I can

Cheers

Glenn

Thanks Glenn,

That will be a big help! I won't ask anyone for anything yet as I can't put any time in right now and don't want to waste anyone else's in the process...

When I get some time  this will happen.

Cheers

Hi guys,

Well I have had some time to get this started and would love some content input, people to research and produce content is what I would really like! So ideas of "you should put 'this' or 'that' on there would be great but even better if you can source the info and images that would be better.

A few things:

1. Original images that you own the copyright to are preferred in all cases, I really don't want to put up images I don't have permission for.

2. Content wise, if you know the source, we can credit it and request permission to include the information that would be great (that would include images)

3. As boring as it may be to some I think having images of 'stock standard' vehicles would be more informative to new punters. Happy to run a gallery of the cool stuff too though!

4. Input from you on what you think would be valuable inclusions, think back to when you knew nothing about Stageas and what you wanted to know.

5. I may at some stage choose to add Google Ad Words advertising to the site, this will help pay for the hosting and domain name, it may generate some revenue but I don't expect to retire off it! Just putting it out there so everyone is clear and no one thinks I am ripping them off if I do end up with these ads on there.

The Beta site is here: http://nissanstagea.com/beta/ haven't tested it in all browsers yet so if you notice anything strange going on let me know! There are some broken links so don't get too excited about those, I know they're there...

Looking forward to all your positive input!

(If you don't have anything nice to say, you know how it goes...) :D

Cheers

Luke

would love to give you some photos of a stock 260RS presenting in black...! immac in and out, and my missus does photography so will get some good shots of whatever you wish.

Good idea would be listing of all the different trim specs and levels from rs-v to four-v and four-s, Dayz ed, prime ed, and what you do and dont get etc. A definitive list.

That sounds awesome!

The peak of factory offering, very nice.

:D shucks...

Will send em on. I get the car in 2 weeks, its at compliance. Its like new in and out inc. engine bay so is a good example.

Looking forward to all your positive input!

(If you don't have anything nice to say, you know how it goes...) biggrin.gif

Problem with that Luke is if all you want is accolades..... well you will never find out how it can be better!

Conservative Criticism.....

The site seems VERY SLOW to load, and you have mis-spelled aspirated.

Apart from that, it looks pretty good. Well done.

Love the table idea for the specs very easy to see. It would be better if the "proper" model code was in there though, ie 20X, 20G, 25TXFour etc. It's a little misleading as is.

Keep up the work..... remember photos need to be small for quick loading. The header seemed to take forever!! (actually about 3 mins). I am using firefox, windows XP, and ADSL.

Can't wait to see the S2 Stuff. I have some spreadsheets of the S2 model specs and options.

Happy to email them if you want.

Cheers

happy to contribute what i can, photos etc. gonna have a forum?

forum = redundant? dont think TOO many of us would be converting from here. info and pics and etc sounds great but i dont think a forum on the site would be worth the effort due to how comfortable we all are here as well as the ease of skipping to related skyline conversations and mod threads here.

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
    • I haven’t yet cut the chassis, maybe I switch to a reverse flow. I’ve got the Intercooler mounted as I already had it but not cut yet. Might have to speak to an engineer
    • Yes that’s another issue, I always have a front mount, plus will be turbo plus intake will big hasstle. I’ve been told if it looks stock they’re fine with it by a couple others who have done it ahahaha.    I know @Kinkstaah said the stock gtt airbox is limiting but I might just have to do that to avoid a defect so it atleast looks legit. Or an enclosed pod so it’s hidden away and feed air from the snorkel and below Intercooler holes like kinstaah mentioned. Hmm what to do
