I know of a GT-four model in the coupe, I think a user by the name of holyevil has one on here. I think they came in four doors but were ultra rare.

yes i just did a bit of a search on the net and found out abou the GT - FOUR Version in non turbo model. a mate of mine wants to buy a 4 door version in maunal, if he can, then hes gonna do a turbo converison later, but he wants the 4wd and manual mainly.

if you find any specs on it, post em up, on any of the R34 models etc

just going through my info that I have

R34 sedans - 25GT-X Four - 4WD, RB25DE, non-tiptronic auto

25GT Four L - 4WD, RB25DE, available in 5spd manual or non-tiptronic auto

R34 coupe - 25GT Four - 4WD, RB25DE, non-tiptronic auto

above info taken from this link http://history.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/R34/0008/index.html which you will need to use a page translator to read/understand.

just remember that these are factory based specs, its not to say there aren't manual versions out there, a customer may have specifically ordered one or a dealer may have ticked the option for their yard.

hope this helps

Reggie.

Ok, here are all the R34 models available in 4WD, starting with sedans:

Series 1 (5/1998 - 7/2000)

25GT-X FOUR - Auto ONLY

25GT FOUR - Manual and Auto

25GT-FOUR L Selection - Manual and Auto

Series 2 (7/2000 - 5/2001)

25 GT-X FOUR - Auto ONLY

25 GT-FOUR L Selection - Manual and Auto

-----------------------------

And Coupe:

Series 1 (5/1998 - 7/2000)

25 GT FOUR Manual and Auto

Series 2 (8/2000 - 5/2001)

25 GT FOUR - Auto ONLY

-----------------------------

So you can see, only the Series 1 and 2 25GT-X FOUR (sedan) and Series 2 25GT FOUR (Coupe) were only available in Auto. It shouldn't be too hard to avoid these models as they're pretty scarce here in Japan anyway.

Yep as said before called a GT-Four,model code ENR34, but there are a few sub models.

Pretty much the same running gear as a R33 Gtr (without the RB26) to my knowledge.

RB25DE NEO, 147kw, 1480kg i think.

Im looking to get one aswell, but they are rare in manual, tiptronic isnt bad, but not for me.

Now this is weird, i read above that a guy named Luke has one is SA, my name is also Luke and im in SA and i want to get one. Spooky...

Hi guys,

im the previously mentioned friend thats looking for 1. every importer ive been to has told me i cant get an R34 four door 4wd manual imported to aus because they don't qualify as a sports car. can any1 shed some light on this??

I am sure that there is a forum member who had a manual R34 4WD sedan which he then did a NEO RB25 DET conversion and a R33 GTS-T brake upgrade.

This gave him a 4WD turbo sedan for a total outlay of just over $16k.

i guess they are all making shit up.

i got myself a ENR34 GT-4 non turbo 4WD manual.

they are very rare and hard to find. i got mine like 3-4months ago.

Is yours a coupe??

i can get a coupe just fine, but im after a 4 door sedan. all the importers say the sedan is to heavy (power to weight ratio) to class as a sports car, therefore they cant import it. any help would be great

Ray

Edit: just checked the Dotars website (http://rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/sevs/030-00.htm) and they say u can import 4WD sedans. can anyone recommend an importer thats not full of it??

just one more question... what about a R34 GT-4 coupe, manual would be better but doesn't have to be. if you were to transplant a GTR motor and box what year would you use it from, R32 or R33?

does the motor ecu talk to the attessa ecu somehow??

dont think it would matter what skyline the rb26 would come from. would just need a r34 gtr ecu i guess.

i'll find out when i do the transplant.

not to sure about the atessa

A few factors to recognise with the R34 GT- 4.

* These, compared to GT turbos, have 4 stud wheels, requiring conversion in most cases.

* Different engine mounts, ok if you want to keep the RB25 I guess, but thinking of going to an RB25DETT or RB26... Big job.

* Stock, without any performance upgrades, engine swaps and the likes, these things are apparently (not that I know first hand) uninspiring.

I'm having fun with my 4 door R34 GTT at the moment, but one day I aspire to build a 4-door GTR... I'm sure many people here do!

If you can, get the manual strait out, my GTT sedan was a manual conversion, but best to get it that way, manual conversions as a rule are a pain in the arse.

    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
