Funny you should say that as Khun Jeng and I were saying how well you drive the GTST and control it which looked to be the best on the day that we saw

haha thank you! no just being hard on myself cos I was having a shocker and kept making an ass of myself in front of the big boy who was loving serving up the trash talk! so I handed him the keys at the end of the day in the hope he would spin too... he didn't and I cried all the way home :)

LOL! Adz - Yeah definately agree there, felt pretty rough the next day too. From what I remember I told her my name was Nathan and from Elwood, then at the end she said something like "Uh oh my husband is over there!" Maybe Chris or the real Nathan can remember better

Bastard!

Bastard!

LOL! And thanks for paying too. :P

Khun Jeng and GTIRR - Great value :)

Was a superb weekend with so many laughs had and a great crowd of people. I always meet new people and poor Dee seems to cop my drunken ramblings, apologies for that!

Hey ppls.

Awesome weekend, but we expect nothing less of Shepparton and the mighty DECA weekends!

Thanks to the organisers for everything they do to make these events happen.

Thanks to Mav for ferrying me to and from Shepp, even if I did have to drive his car home. :P

BIG thanks to Snowball for loaning me the little red wagon. She took a pounding and never complained... much. The tyres on the other hand are ready for bed. I followed his rules and never went faster than him on the long wang.... but only by 0.3 seconds, and I had fuel starvation on the basketball court. I did beat him on the mini want though... But not in the EVO. Damn it's fast.

MissJuz for letting me drive Lil'Blu. She's a super easy car to slide, especially shifting between 1st and second on the slide. Soo easy, so smooth.

Leewang for letting me drive the Uber-Lag. Managed to launch reasonably well in it and then get the thing right up on gate in 2nd gear. 2nd outright on that motorkhana I think.

Mav for letting me give the Banana a skinning. That clutch took me 6 attempts to get moving in the carpark. Evil combination of locked diff and mad clutch.

Adzmax for letting me show him how to drive his car :P but my bad navigation on that particular event led to a DNF. Bugger. All it needs is a diff and some sway bars and it's a serious bit of gear.

Ray for letting me drive the Uber-S15. She's a very very nice ride. Bloody hard to get into and out of though.

Chrisman for co-piloting the drivers lounge with me. Surprisingly nimble for a tank. Most comfortable car I drove all day, and the one with the MOST turns to lock of any car I've even driven in my entire life!

Scotsman for letting me have a go in the GTR at the end of the day. I wish my car was that sorted.

Brisby for playing the worse practical joke ever on Scotsman with his catch can oil under the GTR. Sooo mean, ultra funny.

Ray for being a sport and getting chilli-ed by me.

Ray for then being a gun rookie and chilli-ing Mav on his first night at Taco Bills. Ray shows much promise!

Sunshine for once again being broken by SAUVic. Stay off the Tequila man!

Taco Baz and Staff of Taco Baz for being the team of crazy Mexican food suppliers that they are. I don't know of another restaurant in the world who would book out their entire restaurant frontage for a bunch of loud mouth yobs from Melbourne and Sydney. We always have so much fun at Taco Baz. It's makes the weekend.:)

All in all, another great weekend. I can't wait to see the video of my driving LilBlu with Juzz throwing paper everywhere, and the Uber-Lag on full noise in second gear.

BASS OUT

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
