I hade so much head f**k with Insurance justcar insurance said if iv got defectable mods they wont cover me(coil overs, big rims, turbo timer and so on) dont they deal with imports? others said they wouldnt do me couz iv lost my licence 4 years ago for a year and i hade a run in with the cops when i was 17 i thought your record gets wiped when you turn 18.

I was looking at getting a 34 4-door (turbo) a year ago and JC quoted me about $1000 for full comp. I was 24 at the time and rating 1 so that helps. I also had a policy with them for about 2-3 years already so I think that counts too. JustCar seem to look after you if you've been with them a while (ie. lower premiums etc). Cant prove that tho...

Now with the stagea I'm paying $1100 for full comp. Not bad IMO :stupid:

JustCars $1,200 with mods including HKS turbo, 30 years old, rating 2 or 3 (some driving history). They didn't give a toss about all my mods, as long as they are listed on the policy.

sorry but that made me ROFL

you record never gets wiped but once you turn 18 the prosecution cant bring up juvenile offenses when your in front of the Magistrate again (doesn't stop them trying though)

I wasent going to tell them bout the juvenile record(just stupid satff) as i thought it gets all wiped out. Then i thought its a insurance company so they might use it in some way against me if i make a claim. i got rejected becouse of my juvenile record anyway

19, R34 N/A sedan rating 3 $1427 agreed value of 22 grand.

i got like 20 quotes off just car until i got a good one with a high agree value. they kept changing every time i got a quote :P

Try H20 insurance. Underwritten by the RAA.

Im 35 dont know rating though , plenty of fines ,Mods to car (32GTR) full comp , $880 per year.

Classic car was a painful experience , and charged $1180.

the only difference was an extra $500 in the excess

Hope this helps.

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
