hooray!! 18 yr old in R32 GTR caught doing 200km/hr on wellington rd..

excuse? "i was tired, and didn't realise what speed i was doing"

hmm... original :P:):domokun:

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,21841127-2,00.html

I'm amazed that he hasn't hit anyone in that speed while just only last week TWO under-cover police officers were driving UNDER the speed limit YET they have managed to hit an old lady.

 how did they catch him, i mean those SS's are fairly quick but assuming he was going at least 120km/h faster than them when they saw him i don't think he'd have struggled to get away.. That would also = an estimated speed if they were driving, and i know that if the car was stationary when they saw the gtr they wouldn't have seen him again.. so maybe 200 is an exaggeration?

long stretch of road or not, he had to have hit a traffic lights at some point. its mentioned that he was 'weaving in and out of traffic'. either way like you said he would have been past the cops w/o seeing them. but all they need to see would be his plates. or they could have caught up at the next lights and he wouldnt have known he was in shit till the lights started flashing.

also does it really matter if it was 200 or 160?

i think you right there man they tend to blow up the storie if its a jap car but at the end of the day all of us have done stupid shit and no one can act like they havnt done high speeds before he was just unlucky maybe he can learn from this the only thing that pissed me off was it had to be a line.. ah well

I really dont agree with taking any skyline up to its limit, whats the point really??

if you really want to get the rush, jump off a plane or something, take it on the track

I remember not too long ago when i was doing just a little over 100k and came to a complete stop into a fence and a pile of rocks in just under 5 secs, the impact that had, i came out with sore shoulders, sore neck and brused all over

would not want to think of an impact at twice that speed, OUCH

Hopeless! He didnt even blow over 0.5 and his girlfriends werent wrapped around his pole. 18yr olds these days... dont do anything properly anymore :P

hahaha, kids these days

"........so I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time..."

    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
    • On the bright side, the weather will turn much nicer for working outside shortly....sounds like you might need to start on a neighbour's garden next
    • Ok so i will NEED to have this sensor anyway even with Nistune (or standalone ECU) https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-boost-pressure-sensor-evap-control-system-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-nm35-stagea-pnt30-x-trail-rb25det-vq25det-sr20vet?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqfxX48bW9bEwH62orcNhtBfp7ekAL0C9Ca89ySFGUiBzXfXeze Is this the correct one? And this is only thing i need? No other "things" connected to the sensor or something? I do have the wiring.
