Hi guys - I have a niggling problem in that the driver's door handle surround (interior) is cracked. are these the same as r33?? I have a s1.

Also, are all stagea front interior door trims mismatched?? I realise that the drivers door one needs to accomodate all the window & mirror controls, but does everyone else have odd ones?? This is the first time I've seen the likes of it...

Do you mean that the drivers door doesnt have a grab handle that sticks out of the door like the other 3 doors and that the drivers door just has an insert to grab hold of in the flat part of the arm rest?? if so then mine is the same

That's the ones.... The other thing I wasn't too sure about: my car has black leather interior, but the inserts in the door trims are the suede stuff like on r33GTR seats....would have assumed they would be leather as well, but who knows....??

AFAIK that was standard with the leather seats - the cloth seats all have inserts made from the same material that the seats were covered in.

The suede looks much nicer than just plain dead cow IMO

yes they are the same as R33 surrounds, its just the handle itself that is different, R33 is black plastic, stag's get bling. :O

and yes they are all mis-matched, even my R33 is (was?) mis matched, with the passenger door having a handle to grab, and the drivers door has a pocket, and the window controls.

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
