Shit, sounds like the RAC advert. Hope it works out ok.

Man, You should pass my house now, the builder remove my rolling door and it's all open for thiefs to come in f**k.

My carrrrrrrrr nooooooo, melville motors will do the repair I think, I'll fill claim report now sigh.

But on the other side, pretty lucky, I got new front and rear bumper as well as new windows, head lights and stuff, the front bumper was damage since I bought it.

But still I won't have car until 2 or 3 weeks man, exam soon I think I should change my car from R34 to Transpert ^^

erik - pity the old lady? maybe so but insurance does cover so she will be paying excess only rite? as long you're not out of pocket because of other ppls mistakes then ure OK

the hassle of it all is not having your car..

are u sure 3-4 weeks? doesnt sound like a long time...will prolly go on for more

Yeah as long as I don't pay anything, It's allright, but I'll miss my R34, will they repair it or give me all the money?

Last time, my cousin crashed and badly damage, the insurance company gave her the sum of money that she payed for the car so she got a new car, If I got the money , I get a chance to buy a new R34 even though stamp duty and insurance will cost me again :(

Erik - they will only give you the money for the car if it is a write off - other wise they will repair it. Also they probably won't start work on your car until she pays her excess... and they can't force her to pay it until her car is fixed.... She may pay is straight away - or she may pay for it when her car is fixed. Sorry - I think you'll be waiting longer than 2-3 weeks.... I waited 6 weeks and Aidwin waited even longer.... all cause of parts.

    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
    • So 10/10 times that code is coil packs? I mean if that's the case ill drop the $400USD or so to replace them. I didn't know these cars threw codes before the issue became an issue.
