Just so I know was this the car doing the grass skids?

No. It was another one with a toyota echo baby blue colour:

Mate, it was a shit "burnout". In fact, I wouldn't even call it a burnout, it was little faggy skid. I could do a better one in my mums corolla.

well the blue one with chromies was the one that was trying to be a hero on the grass area. but there were plenty of other morons who thought they would show us all how cool they were once onto the concrete.

oi! i didn't see you anywhere!!! >_<

Yeah I came at around Midday and was there till the awards, though I parked my Taxi away from the crowded car park on the far side of the field :( I didnt see your 180 either? :)

No worries Shell :( Its a good excuse for a cruise to the lovely ACT and to meet the SAU guys down there.... Oh I mean I am going down to see the other half who is working in Canberra, so il drop in and pick it up... >_<

There were a number of drivers that decided to act recklessly as they were leaving. The light blue R33 started it all by doing a burnout on the new concrete pathway, only to reach thegate to find it locked with nowhere for him or anyone else to go. :domokun:

When asked if he did a burnout, he denied it, with his passenger claiming that it was one of the cars beind them. They had no response when they were told that it was caught on film :)

Anyway, enough of the negatives. One positive from this is that we can learn from this event to make the next one bigger and better.

Well done to all that participated

sif... I helped massively :O

I'm the one that told you to open your shirt up more... that sold like eleven or twelve alone :D

I had fun!

Judging was a good expereince also!

Bring on next years!

I agree - I had a great day!

Judging was a great experience, it was good to meet so many enthusiasts and talk to them about what they had done to thier cars mechanically and physically - so much variety and so many loved and well cared for cars, it really made it hard to pick one over another! More people should get involved in the judging next time - it really is an interesting experience. Congrats to everyone who entered - you all deserve a big pat on the back!

And hell yeah - bring on the next SnS!!!

:D

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
