hey guys just thought id let you know that an attempt to steal my 33 GTR took place today. The only thing that saved it was the multipoint imobilisation on the alarm.

they are getting cunning thought i left my car for no more that 45min in Teatree plazer in the middle of the day and i parked it on its own in clear view.

someone witnessed it and called the cops, two undercovers came over apparently they patroll the car parks on random days (good to know) then they called in crime investigation and they dusted for prints very CSI.

lock em up boys and girls and for gods sake get an alarm system there on the prowl!

i was lucky all they wrecked was the ignition and the alarm siren

they were good no damage to the door lock and they had the car ready to go just couldnt start it.

ttp is known as one if not the biggest hot spot for car thieves....why even bother taking a 33 gtr to park there??

I know u shouldnt have to worry about shit like that, but dont bother parking anything expensive there!!

i had to go to motor vehicles across the road so i parked on the out skirts of the car park i normally wouldnt park it there but i guess you learn the hard way.

yep I don't park the R34 at TTP. Had my S15 badged there once and won't park there again.

I think it is just about time for vigilante activity, as suggested. Once we f$#k a few of them up bad enough and put their smashed up faces on the news, maybe other would-be thieves will think again before touching a Skyline

I found out the other day my GT-R (that I have just sold) alarm system wasn't locking the passenger side door. God knows how long its been since I checked whether that door was locking.

I assume though, my car was not actually locked for oh, around 18 months! Scary stuff!

sounds fun but wouldn't make a difference.

if that was the case and people thought twice about commiting a crime if they new there would be a consequence, there would be no crime in the world would there?

hey i had the exact same thing happen to me there lil under a year ago, same deal less than 30min parking, no damage to door lock but plenty to ignition and immobilizer stopped them along with someone spotting them messing with my car. csi cops came they didnt find any prints but the witness said they were like 4 18 or so yr olds apparently 1 wearing holden top(what the..... stick to v8s), it was that car chase with the blue vp that went on for like 4hours heaps of people seen em weaving in traffic at like 180km/h cops apparently caught em in the end.

nice work legal system though, i get in more shit for driving my car than they do for trying to steal it and doing 180k's in wrong lane's

cost me a fair bit getting it fixed so im up for any traps and beat downs people wanna give

I'm keen as mate, think i'd go a little too far tho........ "Darren stop hitting him" "no" "Darren he's unconcious" "I know"......LOL

Grab a carton of Coopers and were set Andrew!!

doesnt this all make you think owning one of these things is just a waste of time and money...?

dont get me wrong.... id like your opinions.

I think as a Skyline owner many would already know how much of a money pit owning one is!

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
