Far out man. I'm not reading all that :w00t: I've heard too much about it already.

In your remapped ecu, can your consult read all vitals and logging and stuff that a PFC could? Log Errors, dead sensors and stuff?

i told you it would take 2 days to read. LOL.

yeah i have nissan datascan, and no errors what so ever. The car appears to be opperating normally with no issues according to the computer.

Go figure.

I would just like to take this moment to brag and say i got just under 500k's to my last tank :woot:

but i also ran out of fuel and had to fill up a jerry can... it was also 5th gear boring driving for most of it :w00t:

17mm Hg, my 33 idles at 20 - 21 mm Hg, and so do a shit load others I've seen...

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere personally.

Also, ditch all the little tuneable things, and get one big tuneable thing.

As much as I'm not a fan of the PFC, you should get one.

You should use one device to control one element, at the moment you're using 2 devices to control one element. Not smart. They tangle each other up.

That and you may have lost your map in the SAFC

As much as I'm not a fan of the PFC, you should get one. - That's because you can't tune them properly :(

That and you may have lost your map in the SAFC - SAFC's are shit to tune.. they are very rough.. you can never get those flat spots out of them.

ever since i have had my car it has ideled at 17mm of HG, and i have tested every part of the car and found no leaks at all.

The compression is 150 psi across the board and 2.5 psi leakdown results, so motor appears healthy.

I have also replaced the PCV and so forht.

Map still in SAFC checked that, plus the safc is not doing much as teh map on the chip was preatty right on.

TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE..

Oh did i forget to mention Tune ?

I suppose you should just run it on the dyno with the wideband in the exhaust to tell you what you already know....that its rich. Once thats established, retune to the correct AFR's across the map. So yeah, as Guilt-Toy says, Tune " " " " ".

Maybe an FC is worth your while...? If your not happy with it, then sell the FC(they go for a hefty price) and plug the remapped stocker in again.

It seems your running out of options. You've done and replaced just about all the known possible physical causes, If its not that, then maybe the ECU is not functioning the way it used to anymore. How many degrees of timing is it running?

Well PFC are esentially what i have but the chip is a hell of a lot more expensive, my chips cost $5 ea and tune time,

who cares if the chips cost 20c. you said yourself no-one on your island tunes them so it's not much good to you is it? i mean you are using a cheap signal bender to run your car and wondering why you have bad economy. I would say there is two reasons for the poor economy.

1. driving condition/driving style

2. tuning

you don't have to buy a power FC if you don't want it, but it will be doing a much better job that what you have now even right out if it's box.

had an oxygen sensor on the dump pipe replaced in mine which added 50km per tank. the car was running rich all the time. when you look at it via Consult and rev it, it suppose to go 'rich, lean, rich, lean' apparently

good luck

OK OK OK

So i sprayed 2 full brake cleaning cans all over the hoses, connectors all over the engine, anywhere where air could leak, and i do mean everywhere.

AND nothing, no leaks that i could find at all, and the vacuum is still 17-18mm HG no more. Unless the guage is dogie, also i amm pulling it form the hose that goes to the charcoal canister, may need to re rout it.

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
