Brycey
in 10 years time people are going to look back on these setups and laugh their ass off when they have something the size of a AA battery doing the same work as all those batteries.. Chris Rogers
not really. if you take a new prius apart there is a similar setup in the rear of it. whilst looking at that look up EV racing - there is a vehicle capable of a 10sec qtr pass. Stinky Rooster
Actually, the worlds quickest electric vehicle is a motorbike. Capable of 8.2 for a standing quater mile with more to come. http://www.killacycle.com/ Also check out http://www.NEDRA.com for more electrical lunacy. Chris Rogers
yep looked at that site a while back. suckamps racing was who I was referring to. fellow sells the gear to convert a small car to electric. not cheap but a good site for info. I looked at doing a subaru sherpa a while back . 110km range on a full charge at 110kmh (72v system) I thought it was pretty impressive. as for doing it in a weekend- not really a week maybe if everything was at hand. Duncan
hahah have to buy one and pull it apart Chris. What voltage does the prius run at, pretty big right? Chris Rogers
prius is 240v from memory. still more than enough to make it move. did a bit more reading on the one above. 4 huge motors on it so it would certainly move. mind you it would not be at all cheap. the controllers for those things are $2.5k a pop.
