As much as you lot go on and on about the GTRs and bathurst, the only one they won the race was red flagged.

LOL!

how come no one picked him up on this?

what about '91? forget about that eh? oh- you were 7 years old, sorry =P

fark.. how many of you clowns have horse blinkers on?

the fastest stock turbo'd AUTO soarer in aus runs 12.3 using stock turbo's as stated, darg radials, MV auto's stage one shift kit (no stall converter).

making 230rwkw.

let's a GTST (r32 or R33) do the same...

A stock AUTO TT soarer weighs 1560kg

how is that 600kg heavier than a skyline as some knob put it?

Only problem with the soarer is the fact that it is useless.

it's a 2 door that has piss all back seat room.

piss all boot room.

and yet is a massive car.

Chaser is where it's at.

Which is why im am choosing a soarer over an r32 gts-t as my next car.

well of course the soarer is faster than a 32. they are the slowest of the skylines out of the r32-r34's. soarers without work are in no way quicker than an equally modded r33 or r34. i have been up against a few. the manuals might be very close, but good luck finding one.

Pretty good debate goin on hear guys

Iv got mates that own twin turbo soarers and heres street tested results for ya s. A auto twin turbo soarer will beat a standard or lightly moded auto R33 Gtst but wont beat a manual R33 or R32 Gtst. Like someone else said the soarer has no real purpose besides grandpa s sunday driver or for cruisin. They deffently have power and are a good cheaper alternative but its NISSAN ALL THE WAY for me

Nuff said :santa:

this thread is funny..

toyotas answer to nissan would be the new TRD AURION....that would kill a few gtst out there!

http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_...upercharged.htm

and heres something to compete with everything else..

Aurion ay

supercharged 3.5L V6 with an estermated power output of 315hp might be able to keep up with a standard 185kw that a standard R33 Gtst pumps haha. It is a nice car but its not toyotas answer to nissan its there answer to holden and ford

well actually its on par but better where as the r34 has 206kw at the engine..therefor it would be better and more comfortable the aurion...

hmm sounds like u should get ya facts straight....

if we were talking about all out power thats a different story but we aint...haha you guys were compaing the soarer to the gtst and i was comparing the gtt to the aurion...

cheers.

No offense to you...nor anyone else who uses this figure 206kw.

The figure was made up by manufacturers in Japan in the late 80's

and followed through to the late nineties.

They thought that a KW war would not help the development of the cars...(one thing Holden and Ford here

should have learned from)....and so it was a gentlemen agreement to agree that if any car exceeded 206kw

it would be rated at that.

Everyone knows a GTR KW out of the factory was more like 240KW's odd....

What pisses me off though is some EPA tests conducted use this figure...ie noise DB/REV

Back to the Topic.................................everyone by a gtr this way they grow in popularity

and like the supply and demand curve..(which I have always found it hard to understand)....

the prices will increase............and we will be rich......rich I say...hahahahahahahahah

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
