Only a little bit. Think positive. :P

Hopefully it's dry enough that I can have a crack at a sub 1.20. Because if I don't get it I'll have to come back the following week!

How is the roll caghe looking? Happy?

Yeah looks like I might be at the WRX round afterall. Just depends if Uncle Ben can get me my car back in time.

One day I will finally get that troube free track day done.

FYI - CAMS were at the HSV day at Sandown last Sunday breath/drug testing drivers.

There is a possibility they could turn up on Sunday to this event so be warned. You MUST be .00.

Thanks all.

Also - RWD boys - Lee Wilson was at HSV day last weekend in his R33 GTST. He's now running 1.21's - so get your act together :P

Spewin. To the best of my understanding (lol limited i know) the previous best for a GTSt was Lee with a 1:22. I so wanted to be the first GTSt into the 1:21s. Though his car has uber power with a GT35 etc etc, but still well drive.

I hope to get my act together one day. 1:22s are a peice of cake, not sure about 1:21s. But then i remember Scothfinger held it together long enough to do a 1:21 so maybe it wont be that hard...hell if i use all the race track, some of the grass and some of the armcos i may be able to squeeze out a 1:20.999 :thanks:

I'm trying to get it together... give me another month or two... :)

Engine should be ready now, waiting on the box adaptor and then I can seriously start moving forward. Oh, and give me some time to mend this fractured arm too :)

so what time does it all kick off at Sandown can someone tell me please?

The first group gets on the track at around 9:30-10:00am...

Looking forward to it, hope the weather is good!!!!

Ray, would be good to see the S15 out there, it looks scary now!!!

Damn, dunno if i can make it...car still in pieces.

If not i might be driving in the 330kw Evo 8

Car in pieces?

Looking 'scary now'?

Hmmmm, I might have to swing past and do some spying on you Ray! What have you been up to while I've been gone? :)

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
