haha had to drive it with a sleeping bag covering it so rain wouldn't get in. (Very interesting looks from that)

The vacuum from all the glass is all scratched inside from the cyclone type bag less depository.

Can never see if its full now. Its quite stressful.

My mum's CLK does it all the time too, but their system is not as aggressive as Aston's. They stay within the confines of the car when they go off.

Still, very annoying as you can't use the roof when they go off and it's a bitch to get them back down, but at least it's free!

No i never found them sorry James.

By the time i got back from the airport there was a lot of people out seeing what happened with next door and others trying to clean it all up in the rain.

It would be hard to believe they be in one piece after something like that?

The general thoughts of the neighbours was that someone had bricked the car which is what i thought when i got the call on my way home. Strange little surprise.

Maybe that's why the Aston roof wouldn't go down. Precautionary measure before it lost its dice.

Just parked it out the front of the house.

God.... Damn... if you park a new DB9 Volante out on the street I'd love to see what you've got in the garage

Oh yeah, sorry I didn't realise they were anti-roll bars. That's some vicious deployment. But twin NOS bottles in a DB9 would've been cool.

DB9 volantes have 2+2 seats right? What happens when the bars deploy with people in the back? Obviously AM have engineered for their safety as well, but from the photo it looks like they'd get a huge metal rod up their ass or something  lol

1. My car

2. The ROPS deploys behind the rear seat headrest

3. The roof wouldn't go down due to an electrical motor problem in the rear decklid BEFORE the ROPS deployment.

4. There were no computer activations of the ROPS - a mechanical latch failed

4. Aston Martin rear windows are NOT available as a spare part... only the roof as a whole

Drove through Toorak Rd today. Been a long time since last. Goddamn there were some good cars today...

Bright orange 911 GT3RS plates [RS911], White 911 Turbo plates [15].

Jag XKR, White R8, 2 Bentley Continentals, brunette chick driving M6.

white 911 is my boss, has heaps of the old plates, one stage we had 4 million dollars worth in the shop window, 15 i think is still for sale for $750,000

On Collins St near Spring St intersection tonight at 730 - Red Ferrari 430 parked behind a blue 612 Scaglietti (I think) with plates [480]. There were outside Nando's but kinda doubt that's where they ended up having dinner :D

Holy shizz... 4 mil worth of plates could buy me a 500 new Nissan Micras. I could start arguably the largest single-model Victorian car club right there :)

I think you mean Bourke.. they're always there at the 'mob cafe'... never actually noticed what it's really called

Some of Tony Mokbels friends hang out there

They always park in the loading zones..

It pays to be a criminal..

I think I saw James GT3 driving through Southbank yesterday at lunch.. certainly looked like his one

Oops, yeah it was Bourke.

Geez, didn't know the underworld was so.... well, exposed.

Thought they would be driving around in nondescript Mercs with tinted windows and armour plating.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
