I Don't know about you guys, but i am sick to death of E-bay.. I love the customers and the range seller have.... but they charge you to sell whether it sells or not, one small hiccup and they can suspend your account indefinatly. And there other half PAYPAL are even biger crooks...

F*ck All customer protection, nothing ever seems to turn up in the condition you buy it in, or when it is meant to, etc etc..

what do you guys think from your experiences... Is it time for E-Bay to fall??????

I've had some pretty good experiences with only 2 which were a little dodgy and didn't turn up initially.

'Luckly' I paid through paypal which removes $$ from the sellers account until the dispute is resolved.

So.... I received my bits and they received their money. ;)

I have to say, it might just be a selected few who have had bad experiences with ebay (and I don't doubt this as I heard a few bad stories from others too) - but personally speaking - ebay is great for those 'hard to get' things - and if you do your prep work right, you may just get a bargain whilst at it.

I've used eBay for years, made well over 150 transactions and no real problems to report. Some sellers are less than helpful, but you deal with it. All the items I've sold have gone without a hiccup.

As for PayPal, I use it even more than eBay. Love it. It works, it's quick and it's simple as poo. Fee's are reasonable too.

I've only bought off ebay and had some mixed experiences. 90% of the transactions were straight forward with no hassles. The other 10% was a nightmare! Sellers not communicating and items arriving months later. That was a headache!

I've never sold before so I'll have to get into that cause I've got quite a bit of stuff laying around. Having to pay for stuff that doesn't sell is BS though. Depends what the rates are though? I guess after all, you are advertising on their site and a fee should be associated with this. On the other hand, I think you can opt for a fixed classified price and the item will stay up on ebay until it is sold.

Also check out www.oztion.com.au as I heard their fees are a lot better.

From a sellers point of view, I hate the fact you offer people insurance for $2 more, then they have a major sook when an item is lost in the post and want you to send another one at your cost. That's what insurance is for to cover problems like that....don't be such a cheap-ass and pay for insurance. I bloody do when I buy.

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
