do a search in forced induction this question has been asked about 20million times

yeah, with a million different and rather generic answers

i'm looking at boost controllers right now infact, the 3 on my list are:

greedy profec b spec II

apexi power fc boost controller kit, and

Blitz SBC Spec R - Dual Solenoid

going through all the pros and cons of them, i think the power fc add on might win because i really dont want controllers sitting in the car

but the summary from the threads on SAU is that the blitz dual solenoid controllers are the best and hold boost the best (the spec r is the entry level controller for that range)

and the greedy is sitting on top of my list because i asked shaun from boost worx what he would recomend, and this is the one!!

i think its going to come down to the greedy vs apexi, i just want some more information on them first =)

hope this helps

The main point was to see what guys from Adelaide use, not so much which is better, just threw that in so the thread isn't too boring.

pfc

btw, arent u selling ur car?

Yeh its not for me, its just i was discussing it with a friend and wanna see which ones get used the most.

Fishpaste, what about EVC 6 ?

ok i use an avcr, its unreal great for higher power applications in its ability to be able to control boost per gear by rpm etc etc. The pfc kit is a waste of money for what it is unless you can get one cheap, all you can do it select one boost and thats it you cant control the duty etc etc.

I agree Dan, having used the AVCR on my previous ride I will say it was better but when I got my car it already had the PFC boost controller kit on it so I saw no point in changing unless I want to chase higher power levels (who doesn't though, right :) :))

avcr here, so far so good after Dan installed it for me. How's them beer's?

will know more of how it performs after my tune but after fiddling with it and reading the aussie manual for a while the other night i'm very impressed with all the features it has!

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?

    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
