Oscar, how the hell did you manage the 11.7 in RWD ?

Easy exactly same procedure as AWD. Long smoky burnout, launch on limiter and hang on.

I was still getting wheelspin on the 3-4th change at over 100mph :) I'm sure if I practised more I would get low 11's

I heard something about another accident that only just missed a small pole

Another street drifters close encounter with a gutter. Heard it was suspension damage only.

Any more details yet Cameron?

I'm all set for the drags again tomorrow. :D

Anyone needing S13 parts should come & see me or pm me if you don't know me. I am still stripping Ryan's old '92 Silvia shell and there is not much left.

Best bits available would be the front seats, all glass, rear subframe complete, minor interior parts and shell rear of the A pillars.

What ever is left in a few weeks time will be going to the wreckers or crusher. All cheap especially if you want to take the bits off yourself.

Dunno if you guys know yet but its $100 to enter the 1320 event. i wonder why the price hike?

What do you mean ? Dudes are coming from the US and you think it's gonna be like an off street meet ? Bracket racing in super street is about as expensive as that normally if you don't have a s/st ANDRA license, and even more expensive in super sedan ($125 + license). And it's $80 if you nominate now, $100 on day. It will be extra to have a one day license too.

I'm wondering how strict the scruteneering will be. If they are relaxed about it that will really piss me off as the only reason I'm not racing is because of ANDRA rules. Both cars are ready to rock mechanically but R32 still needs battery isolator, fit new 5 point seat/rail, 5 point harness, side intrusion bar on cage, tailshaft loop, new race gear, $9 a litre unleaded, upgrade to group 3 unlimited ANDRA license, parachute yada yada yada. It just goes on and on. I just need to get the R32 back out there to see where I'm at. You guys have no idea the money that's been poured into my GTRs. (could've had an R35 already put it that way) :)

Good news for this event is tail shaft loop is only required in the 10 sec zone (ANDRA says 11) but harnesses will be enforced in the 11 sec zone OR 110 mph. I've tried telling everyone - don't say you were not warned.

I spoke to Andrew Cole today over the phone and scrutineering won't be any different to any other meet. So whatever you normally do to prepare your ca for racing is what will be required on the day. Hope to see you out there Ben.

the weekend was good with lots of good races, carmelo was running strong all day after the snapped axle.

i had my car on the dyno the other day to see how the afr are so here is the dyno sheet....... its running at 10:2 AFR so it really rich but should be getting that sorted when dr.drift comes up.

i am pulling this turbo off soon to send back and be updated to a more responsive turbo

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
