Your probably better heading south to a power fc guru down there. Just steer clear of mazworx, they charge like a wounded bull. Chase down Martin Childs, he had his R33 gts-t tuned down south and was singing to the tune of 280rwkw or so on 16psi.

No worries, thanks man. Hadn't heard of Mazworks until now but thanks for the heads-up. Is Martin the fella who owns the silver series 1 (lowered, 19"s, bodykit/no wing)?

At this stage I've been looking at Morpowa, Boostworx, Fours'n'More and Willall. Heard good things about all of them so far, especially Brenton at Fours'n'More who has an excellent reputation over on the Supra forums.

Another thing I've been wondering about is having it tuned at sea level and how much impact it would have on the tune by bringing it 1,775 feet above back to Alice. It'd be cool if it can be compensated for via correction factor etc.

How's your 180sx going anyways Kurt? Haven't seen it around for ages now

Sorry, meant boostworx. Willall would be your best bet. They are usually booked out a bit in advance but there is a very good reason for this. Any good tuner should be able to compensate for the altitude differnce too.

180sx is still in Alice. Ive been getting a few things organised from my end to get the new engine setup up and running. I'm living in Townsville these days, cruising around in a RB20det hilux.

I take the 2.8 turbo diesel Hilux ute to work every morning, the GTRs never ever will get parked in town for any length of time. Yeah the blue 2015 S4 WRX has the baby seat in it. With the new FA20 motors it would still be quicker point to point than anything I've ever driven. They're like an electric car and run 22psi stock.

Short 2.8 is together - sump, front diff to block. Waiting on Tomei cam studs before it all goes together.

Really ? So who's left here ? Alice is shit now, at least we have BP ultimate back and BP drum E85 readily available now.

That said, I'm flat out. Still modifying the 33 GTR v spec with the 2 x GT-SS, / OS giken box, 32 GTR with the Nitto 2.8 / PAR dogbox / PTE6466, 32 GTR with the forged 2.6 / T78-29D (most time consuming bastard at the moment), 2001 WRX motorkhana car and 2015 WRX - and modifying the 2007 SY Territory on the side !

I'm still full time at work with two girls under 3. Covid-19 slowdown, yeah right !

meant that even Kitto's is gone now

Yeah, thought so. Yep Carmello still has the R31. Ozzy still here but doesn't have any Skylines anymore, he's too wrapped up with his shitbox cars with the rally and speedway scene.

I'm probably about 2 years from moving myself, will have to plan it properly first with work transfer.

To follow up the 33 made it 2 years straight outright in the Motorkhana event -

Anyone would think I'm the only GTR in the Territory...

Anyway, anyone seen this ? I think the blue car might have to make an appearance up in Darwin for some roll racing on the Hidden Valley circuit 😃

This event is only 2 weeks before the the 33 will try for 3 years in a row in the Alice Motorkhana. All 3 GTRs have been entered as of today, so looks like a busy August / September this year. Very interested to see if the 32s can match the pace with the 33. The current winner:

@BK gazzanats is definitely a must, went up a few years ago with my burnout car was a good event, was planning on taking it again this year but sold it to buy the skyline, might have to take the skyline if I can get it going in time

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
