Heres the things im thinking of buying at the same time i buy my nismo clutch kit (whch i still dont know whether it comes with flywheel or not?)

1)SUPER COPPERMIX TWIN (STANDARD - 670PS)

2)APP DIRECT CLUTCH LINE - braided clutch lines

3)***NISMO BIG OPERATING CYLINDER -....DOES THIS WORK WITH twin PLATE CLUTCH ON THE ECR33 RB25DET SERIES 1?***, and is this even worth buying with the coppermix, as ive heard the pedal pressure is quite light on these clutch kits anyway, even the twin plate ones.

4)NISMO RACING RELEASE FORK PIVOT

anything else i need or dont need please advise me, im going to be doing the auto to manual myself, and il be buying a spigot bush at the same time for this also, the box is in extremely good condition.

please help me out, i want to buy this kit now, so i can hoepfully get everything done asap:)!

thanks for the replies mate, im sold on the super coppermix twins, i was told a nismo fork pivot is highly reccomended, but is all the other stuff necessary, like the braided lines, bigger slave??? this is my first clutch im putting in, and im converting from auto to manual, so ill be buying a manual spigot bearing aswell. I was told theres a couple of other nissan parts. which will be needed which the instructions of the clutch advise of?

anyhelp greatly appreciated!

definately get the nismo pivot, it's cheap. also get the braided clutch line as you will need some kind of clutch line, may as well get the braided one. same with the nismo slave, since you are coming from auto you will need to buy a slave anyway so you may as well buy the nismo one. the clutch instructions wont advise you of any parts needed to convert from auto to manual though... obviously you'll need master, pedal assembley (may as well get nismo pedal bracket too), gearbox, gear shifter, manual centre console. I have no idea what else though.

cheers mate, the gearbox kit i bought came with pretty much everything i need for the conversion, ie gearbox, driveshaft, gear stick, pedals, master/slave cylinder, clutch flywheel(which i wnt to replace for the sake of it), all the wiring.....no centre console though.....

Whats the nismo pedal bracket for?and is it necessary?.....im jst waiting for my price quote back.

Bump.....just while on the subject, for my power goal of just a tad iver 250rwkw, is the twein plate coppermix really necessary?...i mean could i get away with using the nismo coppermix single plate rated at 420ps instead?.....it would save me a heck of alot of money.

anyone using the single plate nismo with around 250rwkw?

thanks!

I had 262rwkw and the nismo single - no probs at all but when you try and launch it it was nothing special, mind you mine was getting oldish

Then in went the twin - launched hard all day. Plus if you decide to go for more power you dont have to worry about changing the clutch in the future

so the single will cope with the power no probs, just a little less bite when you launch hard as opposed to the twins, im just wondering what others have with about 250rwkw and whether or not they can justify the big price jump between the two clutches, im sure both coppermix models are great though!

Another happy customer with the Nismo supper Coppermix twin, I have one in my GTR with the bigger slave . The bigger slave will make it feel lighter and makes the pick up more progresive . In my opinion its the best twin in the market but they are not cheap . You will get everything you need with the kit , the only other thing you want is a spiggot bush .

So no need to get braided lines?.....ive been told the nismo pivot fork is a must?i will be buying the bigger slave too!

If my lines were in good nick I wouldn't buy any, if you don't have any you may as well but you will not know any difference .

Great clutch I love it. Will see how it copes with 550ps in 2.5 weeks

Highly recommended

Did not change any other bits except crank bush. Same feel as normal clutch.

Was designed for the Z-tune I think so it has to be durable and long lasting for the gtr flagship Thats what sold me.

thanks for all the replies guys, im definitely sold on the coppermix, but dont know whether or not to go for the single coppermix, or twin with my application?, anyone care to let me know, at this stage theres a reasonable price difference between the two, meaning i could use that money elsewhere if the twin is not needed. Does anyone actually own a single plate coppermix?

    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
    • Do you have some data like fuel pressure? It's really hard to say if you're still fighting a fuel system issue at this point. Could be something weird like the FPCM dipping out.
    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
    • Something else I have been faffing with while the car was off the road is making the AC work. Assuming the car isn't at a thermal limit the idea of having AC while waiting in line to go on track sounds delightful. I have actually been lugging around the weight of the entire system since 2018 when the RB25NEO went in without it working at all.  The main reason was in the first few events before I got around to re-gassing it the rubber hose that runs under the manifold had the factory heat wrap/sleeve fail resulting in this: ~2 years ago I purchased a complete used R32 AC line set but when I finally went to install it the line i needed was different where the expansion section is I found a local place that was able to replace the rubber section and re-crimp. They also added some modern heat sleeve to the hose Tight fit but fingers crossed this is the last physical piece of the puzzle needed
