You will find that your lights are crazed ( they have tiny little cracks on the lens from exposure to the sun) nothing short of changing them can fix it . Put your lights on at night and look in the lens you will the tiny little cracks . Polishing them fixes it for a little while, well makes them look better, not realy fixes them.

Mine are pretty bad on my R33, so i was going to replace them, but everywhere i inquire they all want anywhere from 350 to 450 per head light.

Is there anywhere I can get a set from that is not going to hurt my hip pocket to much. 700-900 for a pair of second hand oem headlights is a bit steep for me.....unless im cheap :D

I see some on US Ebay second hand ones that start low, but unsure if they will comply with AU standards?

Is it possible just to replace the headlight lenses wit new ones?? I know they're sealed on,

but are there places that heat off the old one and can fit a new one on? Can you buy just the lenses from nissan?

S2 Headlights new from nissan are $500+ each

I have a good pair, no fogging and nothing broken you can have them for $350.

Get some really fine sandpaper, and some warm soapy water, and sand the headlights until you get a milky residue.

You can repeat again with a more corse paper, but still really fine.

Then cut and polish it with some good polish.

Has worked for me before, so give that a go.

Takes away the hazey yellow layer, and makes them pretty damn clear.

My xenons have gas marks on the inside of the lens, and from what i've heard the lights are totally sealed so apart from using a heat gun or something to open em up anyone else opened R34 len's ot cleaning the inside of them?

I use Meguires PlastX. It's a clear plastic polish specially designed for faded plastic and works pretty well. A few people i know thought i replaced the headlight. For $18 you cant really fault it except that you have to re-apply it every 1-2 months.

lol 18 $$$$$$$$$$$$$

i just use 20 cents worth of polish and a bit of wax and it last for 2 months

has anyone else tried the wetrub with 1500 like mentioned earlier?

there is a new 29 $ dollar headlight kit i seen in supercheap but cant rem the company?

I know for the supras theres a mob that makes glass lenses for them. You can unseal the standard ones with a heat gun or oven or something, then replace the lens with a glass one and never worry about fading.

Any one made like a replacement glass lens for the skyline head lights instead of plastic??

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
