Transport Sa New Computer Systems

Just a warning to anyone who needs to go into a Department of Energy, Transport and Infrastructure branch this and the next few weeks. There will be Long cues as the new system to bring us up wit the rest of the country are put in place. And naturally the government has done it the cheapest way (including lack of training for the staff) and there are MAJOR issues with the system.

Today it took over 55minutes just to process the 2 transactions from work ( being trade i have my own counter that will process my work with out lining up) The entire time i was there only 6 - 7 people were served at the counters.

There are also issues with registering any interstate vehicles at the moment and the transactions are not being done.

If you need to renew your rego i suggest doing it online, over the phone, any Australian Post and Most Newsagents are now able to process them.

Nothing to important just may save some people a lot of time in lining up and getting work done

yeah my rego is due at the end of this month too................. = 1 year i have had the car for (29 sept to be exact)

I might ask my cousin what's going on. He is a systems admin for EDS who handle the governments computer infrastructure.
