Tuk Tuk (Mark) did a 1:36 in my car and pushed the garage cone about 6" but it stayed on its feet (I say that because I was told on the day if the hat stays up its okay).

My best time was a 1:45 I think, I was afraid for my car LOL

I was a bit suprised that a 1300cc toyota starlet with no mods, 60,000 k old tyres and standard worn suspension was as fast as some of the GTR's ;)

I think Turismo did a 1:47 in it. I am really glad I was not in the car fro that lap! a 1:47 in my gtst felt fast enough...

On the second course of the skidpad, he actually got the fastest time... beating the RX7 by about a second...

He did it twice, but screwed up the garage, and i told him to have another go, and he cracked it perfectly :)

Can i PLEASE give out style points next time? ;)

Turismo did some awesome driving in the Starlet and I agree with Nic, I'm glad I wasn't in the car with him LOL

How funny is that? Starlet takes out Skyline event hahahhahahaa*snort*hahahahahahaa

He should be proud ;)

hahahah you snorted ;)

When I was marshalling the gate at the back track - he came in so hot and with alot of speed and just locked up and then slid all crossed up, almost out of the gate! was freaking funny but the grin he had on his face was priceless!

hahaha.go turismo.

nice photos anthony.boys upload the videos..

the skidpan was treaturous.understeer city.

a few more go's at it i could have cracked it into the high 1:30's.i think with a better set of tyres i would definently be there.

next time though we should take a portable blower or a few extra large brooms to take the loose gravel off of the road.

Could be actually.... as far as i recall the Quickest went:

1. RX7 - Pfft not even a Nissan and not even road registered so doesnt count.... absolute weapon anyway....

2. White S15

3. 350Z - Drunkan 'I left 2nd gear on the back track'

4. Cefiro - Ahahah

5. R33 GTST - Chubbs 'I take 40 minutes to change 4 wheels'....

I do recall Ladybytes doing a 1:36 or something like that but took out a cone so got a 5sec penalty......

Im sure Adam will confirm the list... once he unloads his car LOL

mmm much as we might hate to hear it, the fastest times went to the best drivers, not necesarily the fastest cars. The top three above are all guys who seriously drive competively (Targa Tas, Dutton, etc.) and the fact Duncan did it in a stock 350Z tells you something. The fact Ando and Chubbs made it - OK so there is some luck involved (kidding - good driving job guys)

hey guys

as you can probably tell from my sig i was the white drift spec 31 with the red spoiler.

i had a really good time on sunday, the skidpan was a bit of fun, but its alot more fun without the cones.

altho the back track was heaps of fun, out of the 3 runs i did, 2 of them i was just having fun drifting as much as possible, those 2 corners just after the big dipper were heaps of fun sideways.

im pretty happy that the 1 grip lap i did i managed a 1:46, which i think is pretty good for a 100rwkw NA RB30 with pretty crappy tyres

im looking forward to the next one, and hopefully everyone will get even more runs, and it'll be great to try out the dry skidpan

only a 1:51......not enough runs to get use to the track and I can't afford decent tyres hahahaha

on the bright side, my newly bled brakes and brakepads worked wonders.....even if the tyres didn't want to stop.

dm your drifting around the back track was hilarious! top work

and the starlet and rx7 carried brilliant speed through the chicanes, the rx7 was running great tyres and suspension it sat beautifully. and I loved the starlet 4 wheels off the ground over the jump every time

pfft to semi slicks they were road tyres on mine.....and as shaun will attest the brakes were literally on fire front and rear by the end of the run :D

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
    • I was only looking because I saw some drops on the ground but it wasn't alot. Recently had it serviced will ask the mech to confirm. Find it strange that it looks standard though, can see in another photo of a random box
    • So...not sure if you know if that has always been there or why you went looking. It could be old damage from a clutch explosion, or even just the gearbox got dropped somewhere along the line. Basically, you should seal it up to stop oil and dust getting into the bellhousing, but it doesn't matter too much and is not structural. I'd suggest something like a glob of JB Weld. BTW what gearbox oil are you running, I would guess the breather has been spewing it everywhere.
    • Hey Duncan thanks for your reply. Sorry mate I know the photos are shit.  Took another photo for reference. Seems the casing does have a hole in it looking on the net, fluid seeping out. Added a photo
    • Very hard to make out what you mean, is it the squarish hole with redline shockproof (probably) under it? Is that pic from on top of the engine with the firewall to the left of pic and engine to the right? Either way, spray the area liberally with degreaser and try again, maybe circle the part you are worried about
