MEH!

My CD player won't eject a CD and i'm getting 'CD Err F0.' I reckon it's just cheaper to sort out a connection to my ipod. Is there an AUX at the back of the player or do I need to buy an adaptor, similar to the V35's.

Oh and I didn't realise VE SS did the 100 in only 5.5secs, dayyamm

There are heaps of threads about "fixing" the CD error, have a search in here or in the V35 section.

For an iPod connection to the OEM head unit, the USA Spec PA15-NIS is what you'd be after for simple plug and play (although you will need to get behind the headunit)

I use that same USA Spec set up. Awesome sound quality and VERY easy to fit and set up. Cost was under $150 delivered from the US. It also has a spare audio input if you want to hook something else to it and also charges the iPhone.

Hi All

Had a strange idling problem with my ARX - I was driving the car for good 2 hours then pulled over

strangely the car idles so low where it feels like its going to die. Any thoughts?

Also, can anyone PM me service details for each KMS ie: 10,000kms service and so fort

Thanks everyone

Cheers!!!!

So that will fit the non bose system? Does an installation manual come with it?

Yep fits the single DIN factory deck. Comes with instructions although its very easy to install. All you need to do is name the playlists on your iPhone with Nissan in them.

I run:

Nissan 1 - artists

Nissan 2 - albums

Nissan 3 - all songs

Nissan 4 - blank

Nissan 5 - blank

Nissan 6 - blank

You can set them how you like but you need to name them 1-6 with Nissan.

Nissan 5 allow direct iPhone control rather than control from the deck. If in 1-3 playlists you can jump song/albums/artist via the 1-6 buttons on the head unit.

Overall its a great unit to connect your iPhone/ipod.

Import monster/ streeter?

On another note, Im looking at wheels at the moment. Im not happy with the flap in the sidewall I currently have on one, especially considering I have a drive to Melbourne coming up. Not replacing tyres on the 17s, rather move to 18s.

Looking at either 350z track 18x8+30 or CE28S 18x8.5+30.

Ive seen pics of the 350z track fitment and it looks good. Ive also seen people with 19x8.5+22 and it looks good. Would i be right in thinking 18x8.5+30 will be a good fit?

Not sure if you remember how mine sit but they are 9+30 and I wouldn't go any lesser than that. I think a 8.5+30 will sit in the guard too far.

I'm running +37 by 8.5 and they don't stick in to far.....you can always run some spacers if you want more track!

No the 8.5 will sit out another 6mm and in another 6mm. To fill the guards I would go either a 9+30 or 8.5+22 or if you want them Out the guard a little go for 9+25. These sizes keep good clearance inside to the suspension arm.

PM me your number and I'll send you a pic of how mine sit, can't upload on here as I accidentally killed my MacBook yesterday ?

Well the 350Z Track wheels look ok, based on the pics Ironpaw has posted:

So if the 8.5 is going to give me another 6mm that sounds fine. I don't need to fill the guards right up, and I don't really want them out the guards.

Just wanted to make sure they'd clear, and try and get an idea of how the 18x8.5+30 would look compared to the 350Z 18x8+30, because I knew there were pics online of the 350Z wheels. Might give the guy a call and try and drop round and test fit on the weekend.

Cheers for the help, PM sent.

All depends on how much low you have.

The moar low, the bigger offset you can tuck in- to a point. If you dropped Ironpaws car 1 inch all round, the wheels would be tucked in and IMO wouldn't look great.

Just type in "wheel offset calculator" into Google, and that will tell you how much it will change by. Stock is 17x7 +45. Go from there. We have seen up to 18x9.5 +30... or maybe even a tougher offset on M35s.

Yep, your car is pretty damn low from memory Ryan! I'd be thinking you'll need 10mm spacers at a minimum to make them look even remotely close to "fitment".

    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
